[7:71] | Qala qad waqaAAa AAalaykum minrabbikum rijsun waghadabun atujadiloonanee fee asma-insammaytumooha antum waabaokum manazzala Allahu biha min sultanin faintathirooinnee maAAakum mina almuntathireena
|  قال قد وقع عليكم من ربكم رجس وغضب أتجادلونني في أسماء سميتموها أنتم وآباؤكم ما نزل الله بها من سلطان فانتظروا إني معكم من المنتظرين
قَالَ قَدْ وَقَعَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ رِجْسٌ وَغَضَبٌ أَتُجَادِلُونَنِي فِي أَسْمَاءٍ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَآؤُكُم مَّا نَزَّلَ اللّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ فَانتَظِرُواْ إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُنتَظِرِينَ |
| Words | |قال - He said,| قد - "Verily| وقع - has fallen| عليكم - upon you| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| رجس - punishment| وغضب - and anger.| أتجادلونني - Do you dispute with me| في - concerning| أسماء - names| سميتموها - you have named them -| أنتم - you| وآباؤكم - and your forefathers| ما - Not| نزل - (has been) sent down| الله - (by) Allah| بها - for it| من - any| سلطان - authority?| فانتظروا - Then wait,| إني - indeed, I am| معكم - with you| من - of| المنتظرين - the ones who wait.| |

| «ከጌታችሁ የኾነ ቅጣትና ቁጣ በእናንተ ላይ በእውነት ተረጋገጠ፡፡ እናንተና አባቶቻችሁም (አማልክት ብላችሁ) በጠራችኋቸው ስሞች አላህ በእርሷ ምንም ማስረጃ ያላወረደባት ስትኾን ትከራከሩኛላችሁን ተጠባባቁም እኔ ከእናንተ ጋር ከተጠባባቂዎቹ ነኝና» አለ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قال قد وقع } وجب { عليكم من ربَّكم رجس } عذاب { وغضب أتجادلونني في أسماء سميتموها } أي سميتم بها { أنتم وآباؤكم } أصناما تعبدونها { ما نزَّل الله بها } أي بعبادتها { من سلطان } حجة وبرهان { فانتظروا } العذاب { إني معكم من المنتظرين } ذلكم بتكذيبكم لي فأرسلت عليهم الريح العقيم . |
| Inna: "ni$ iwwet ikwen id ddell akked zzâaf s$uô Mass nnwen. Day ad iyi namren $ef ismawen i tefkam, kunwi akked imezwura nnwen, i wid iwumi ur d Issers Öebbi kra udabu. Ihi, gganit, nek yidwen seg wid ara igganin". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সে বললঃ অবধারিত হয়ে গেছে তোমাদের উপর তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে শাস্তি ও ক্রোধ। আমার সাথে ঐসব নাম সম্পর্কে কেন তর্ক করছ, যেগুলো তোমরা ও তোমাদের বাপ-দাদারা রেখেছে। আল্লাহ এদের কোন মন্দ অবর্তীণ করেননি। অতএব অপেক্ষা কর। আমিও তোমাদের সাথে অপেক্ষা করছি। |
| Literal | He said: "Punishment and torture and anger from your Lord had fallen/landed on you, do you argue/dispute with me in (about) names you named it, you and your fathers, (that) God did not descend with it from a proof/evidence ? So wait/watch , that I am with you from the waiting/expecting/watching. |
| Yusuf Ali | He said: "Punishment and wrath have already come upon you from your Lord: dispute ye with me over names which ye have devised - ye and your fathers,- without authority from Allah? then wait: I am amongst you, also waiting." |
| Pickthal | He said: Terror and wrath from your Lord have already fallen on you. Would ye wrangle with me over names which ye have named, ye and your fathers, for which no warrant from Allah hath been revealed? Then await (the consequence), lo! I (also) am of those awaiting (it). |
| Arberry | Said he, 'Anger and wrath from your Lord have fallen upon you. What, do you dispute with me regarding names you have named, you and your fathers, touching which God has sent down never authority? Then watch and wait; I shall be with you watching and waiting.' |
| Shakir | He said: Indeed uncleanness and wrath from your Lord have lighted upon you; what! do you dispute with me about names which you and your fathers have given? Allah has not sent any authority for them; wait then, I too with you will be of those who wait. |
| Sarwar | He replied, "You will certainly be afflicted by wickedness and the wrath of God. Do you dispute with me about the names of that which you and your fathers have invented? God has given no authority to those names. Wait for God's decree and I, too, am waiting with you." |

| Malik | Hud said: "You have already incurred the blight and wrath of your Lord. Would you dispute with me about mere names which you and your forefathers have invented, and for which Allah has revealed no sanction? If so then wait for the decision of Allah, I too will wait with you."[71] |
