| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:5] | Faqad kaththaboo bialhaqqilamma jaahum fasawfa ya/teehim anbao makanoo bihi yastahzi-oona
|  فقد كذبوا بالحق لما جاءهم فسوف يأتيهم أنباء ما كانوا به يستهزئون
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُواْ بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنبَاءُ مَا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ |
| Words | |فقد - Then indeed,| كذبوا - they denied| بالحق - the truth| لما - when| جاءهم - it came to them,| فسوف - but soon| يأتيهم - will come to them| أنباء - news| ما - (of) what| كانوا - they used to| به - [at it]| يستهزئون - mock.| |

| በእውነቱም (ቁርኣን) በመጣላቸው ጊዜ በእርግጥ አስተባበሉ፡፡ በእርሱም ይሳለቁበት የነበሩት ነገር ዜናዎች (ቅጣት) በእርግጥ ይመጣባቸዋል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فقد كذٌبوا بالحق } بالقرآن { لما جاءهم فسوف يأتيهم أنباء } عواقب { ما كانوا به يستهزئون } . |
| Ni$ skaddben tidep, mi ten id tusa. A ten id ias usali n wayen i$ef ttihin. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতএব, অবশ্য তারা সত্যকে মিথ্যা বলেছে যখন তা তাদের কাছে এসেছে। বস্তুতঃ অচিরেই তাদের কাছে ঐ বিষয়ের সংবাদ আসবে, যার সাথে তারা উপহাস করত। |
| Literal | So they had denied/lied with the truth when it came to them, so information/news (of) what they were with it mocking/making fun of will come to them. |
| Yusuf Ali | And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at. |
| Pickthal | And they denied the truth when it came unto them. But there will come unto them the tidings of that which they used to deride. |
| Arberry | They cried lies to the truth when it came to them, but there shall come to them news of that they were mocking. |
| Shakir | So they have indeed rejected the truth when it came to them; therefore the truth of what they mocked at will shine upon them. |
