| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:49] | Waallatheena kaththaboobi-ayatina yamassuhumu alAAathabu bimakanoo yafsuqoona
|  والذين كذبوا بآياتنا يمسهم العذاب بما كانوا يفسقون
وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ الْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْسُقُونَ |
| Words | |والذين - And those who| كذبوا - denied| بآياتنا - [in] Our Verses| يمسهم - will touch them| العذاب - the punishment| بما - for what| كانوا - they used to| يفسقون - defiantly disobey.| |

| እነዚያም ባንቀጾቻችን ያስዋሹ ያምጹ በነበሩት ምክንያት ቅጣቱ ያገኛቸዋል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { والذين كذبوا بآياتنا يمسهم العذاب بما كانوا يفسقون } يخرجون عن الطاعة . |
| Wid iskaddben issekniyen nne£, a ten iêaz uâaqeb, ilmend n wayen be$wven. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীকে মিথ্যা বলে, তাদেরকে তাদের নাফরমানীর কারণে আযাব স্পর্শ করবে। |
| Literal | And those who denied/falsified with Our verses/evidences, the torture touches them because of what they were debauching . |
| Yusuf Ali | But those who reject our signs,- them shall punishment touch, for that they ceased not from transgressing. |
| Pickthal | But as for those who deny Our revelations, torment will afflict them for that they used to disobey. |
| Arberry | But those who cry lies to Our signs, them the chastisement shall visit, for that they were ungodly. |
| Shakir | And (as for) those who reject Our communications, chastisement shall afflict them because they transgressed. |
| Sarwar | Those who reject Our revelations will certainly be punished for their evil deeds. |

| Asad | whereas those who give the lie to Our messages - suffering will afflict them in result of all their sinful doings. |

| Hilali/Khan** | But those who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), the torment will touch them for their disbelief (and for their belying the Message of Muhammad SAW). (Tafsir Al-Qurtubee). |
