| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:26] | Wahum yanhawna AAanhu wayan-awna AAanhuwa-in yuhlikoona illa anfusahum wama yashAAuroona
|  وهم ينهون عنه وينأون عنه وإن يهلكون إلا أنفسهم وما يشعرون
وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْأَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَإِن يُهْلِكُونَ إِلاَّ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ |
| Words | |وهم - And they| ينهون - forbid (others)| عنه - from it| وينأون - and they keep away| عنه - from it.| وإن - And not| يهلكون - they destroy| إلا - except| أنفسهم - themselves| وما - and not| يشعرون - they perceive.| |

| እነርሱም (ሰዎችን) ከእርሱ ይከለክላሉ፡፡ ከእርሱም ይርቃሉ፡፡ ነፍሶቻቸውንም እንጂ ሌላን አያጠፉም፤ ግን አያውቁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وهم ينهون } الناس { عنه } عن اتباع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم { وينأون } يتباعدون { عنه } فلا يؤمنون به، وقيل: نزلت في أبي طالب كان ينهى عن أذاه ولا يؤمن به { وإن } ما { يهلكون } بالنأي عنه { إلا أنفسهم } لأن ضرره عليهم { وما يشعرون } بذلك . |
| Sîixxiôen segs, îîeôôifen segs. Ay squccun siwa iman nnsen, ur faqen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা এ থেকে বাধা প্রদান করে এবং এ থেকে পলায়ন করে। তারা নিজেদেরকে ধ্বংস করেছে, কিন্তু বুঝছে না। |
| Literal | And they forbid/prevent from it, and they go far from it, and that they truly destroy (non) except themselves, and they do not feel/know. |
| Yusuf Ali | Others they keep away from it, and themselves they keep away; but they only destroy their own souls, and they perceive it not. |
| Pickthal | And they forbid (men) from it and avoid it, and they ruin none save themselves, though they perceive not. |
| Arberry | And they forbid it, and keep afar from it, and it is only themselves they destroy, but they are not aware. |

| Malik | They themselves have turned away from the truth and also forbid other people to believe in it. With such a behavior they harm none but their own souls but they do not perceive it.[26] |
