بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [5:31] | FabaAAatha Allahu ghuraban yabhathufee al-ardi liyuriyahu kayfa yuwaree saw-ataakheehi qala ya waylata aAAajaztu an akoonamithla hatha alghurabi faowariya saw-ataakhee faasbaha mina alnnadimeena
| فبعث الله غرابا يبحث في الأرض ليريه كيف يواري سوءة أخيه قال يا ويلتا أعجزت أن أكون مثل هذا الغراب فأواري سوءة أخي فأصبح من النادمين فَبَعَثَ اللّهُ غُرَابًا يَبْحَثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُ كَيْفَ يُوَارِي سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ قَالَ يَا وَيْلَتَا أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَـذَا الْغُرَابِ فَأُوَارِيَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِي فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ النَّادِمِينَ |
Words | |فبعث - Then (was) sent| الله - (by) Allah| غرابا - a crow,| يبحث - it (was) scratching| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ليريه - to show him| كيف - how| يواري - to hide| سوءة - (the) dead body| أخيه - (of) his brother.| قال - He said,| يا - O| ويلتا - "Woe to me!| أعجزت - Am I unable| أن - that| أكون - I can be| مثل - like| هذا - this| الغراب - [the] crow| فأواري - and hide| سوءة - (the) dead body| أخي - (of) my brother?"| فأصبح - Then he became| من - of| النادمين - the regretful.| |

| የወንድሙንም ሬሳ እንዴት እንደሚሸሽግ ያሳየው ዘንድ አላህ መሬትን የሚጭር ቁራን ላከለት፡፡ «ወይ እኔ የወንድሜን ሬሳ እሸሽግ ዘንድ እንደዚህ ቁራ ብጤ መኾን አቃተኝን» አለ፡፡ ከጸጸተኞችም ኾነ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { فبعث الله غرابا يبحث في الأرض } ينبش التراب بمنقاره وبرجليه ويثيره على غراب ميت حتى واراه { ليريه كيف يواري } يستر { سوأة } جيفة { أخيه قال يا ويلتى أعجزت } عن { أن أكون مثل هذا الغراب فأواري سوأة أخي فأصبح من النادمين } على حمله وحفر له وواره . |
| Iuzen ed Öebbi tagerfa, tkeôôev akal, iwakken ad as tessenâat amek ara i$umm loeppa n gma s. Inna: "a ssexv iw! Ur bbwive$ ad ili$ am tgerfa yagi, ad $umme$ loeppa n gma". Igwra d seg wid inedmen. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আল্লাহ এক কাক প্রেরণ করলেন। সে মাটি খনন করছিল যাতে তাকে শিক্ষা দেয় যে, আপন ভ্রাতার মৃতদেহ কিভাবে আবৃত করবে। সে বললঃ আফসোস, আমি কি এ কাকের সমতুল্যও হতে পারলাম না যে, আপন ভ্রাতার মৃতদেহ আবৃত করি। অতঃপর সে অনুতাপ করতে লাগল। |
Literal | So God sent a crow digging/searching in the earht/Planet Earth, to show him how (he) hides/conceals his brother's shameful genital private part to be covered, he said: "Oh my calamity , have I been unable that I be similar/like that the crow, so I hide/conceal my brother's shameful genital private part to be covered?" So he became from the regretful/sorrowful/remorseful. |
Yusuf Ali | Then Allah sent a raven, who scratched the ground, to show him how to hide the shame of his brother. "Woe is me!" said he; "Was I not even able to be as this raven, and to hide the shame of my brother?" then he became full of regrets- |
Pickthal | Then Allah sent a raven scratching up the ground, to show him how to hide his brother's naked corpse. He said: Woe unto me! Am I not able to be as this raven and so hide my brother's naked corpse? And he became repentant. |
Arberry | Then God sent forth a raven, scratching into the earth, to show him how he might conceal the vile body of his brother. He said, 'Woe is me! Am I unable to be as this raven, and so conceal my brother's vile body?' And he became one of the remorseful. |

Sarwar | God sent down a raven which started to dig up the earth to show the killer how to bury the corpse of his brother. On seeing the raven, (Cain) said, "Woe to me! Am I less able than a raven to bury the corpse of my brother?" He became greatly remorseful. |
