| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[5:26] | Qala fa-innaha muharramatunAAalayhim arbaAAeena sanatan yateehoona fee al-ardi falata/sa AAala alqawmi alfasiqeena
|  قال فإنها محرمة عليهم أربعين سنة يتيهون في الأرض فلا تأس على القوم الفاسقين
قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً يَتِيهُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَلاَ تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ |
| Words | |قال - (Allah) said,| فإنها - "Then indeed it| محرمة - (will be) forbidden| عليهم - to them| أربعين - (for) forty| سنة - years,| يتيهون - they will wander| في - in| الأرض - the earth.| فلا - So (do) not| تأس - grieve| على - over| القوم - the people,| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient."| |

| እርስዋም (የተቀደሰችው መሬት) በእነርሱ ላይ አርባ ዓመት እርም ናት፡፡ በምድረ በዳ ይንከራተታሉ፡፡ «በአመጸኞችም ሕዝቦች ላይ አትዘን» አለው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | ( قال ) تعالى له ( فإنها ) أي الأرض المقدسة ( محرمة عليهم ) أن يدخلوها ( أربعين سنة يتيهون ) يتحيرون ( في الأرض ) وهي تسعة فراسخ قاله ابن عباس ( فلا تأس ) تحزن ( على القوم الفاسقين ) روي أنهم كانوا يسيرون الليل جادين فإذا أصبحوا إذا هم في الموضع الذي ابتدأوا منه ويسيرون النهار كذلك حتى انقرضوا كلهم إلا من لم يبلغ العشرين ، قيل : وكانوا ستمائة ألف ومات هارون وموسى في التيه وكان رحمة لهما وعذابا لأولئك وسأل موسى ربه عند موته أن يدنيه من الأرض المقدسة رمية بحجر فأدناه كما في الحديث ، ونبئ يوشع بعد الأربعين وأمر بقتال الجبارين فسار بمن بقي معه وقاتلهم وكان يوم الجمعة ووقفت له الشمس ساعة حتى فرغ من قتالهم ، وروى أحمد في مسنده حديث "" إن الشمس لم تحبس على بشر إلا ليوشع ليالي سار إلى بيت المقدس "" . |
| Inna: "ihi, tamurt agi tepwagdel asen. Ukuéet iseggwasen ad menîaôen di lberr. Ur $webben $ef ugdud iballa$en". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | বললেনঃ এ দেশ চল্লিশ বছর পর্যন্ত তাদের জন্যে হারাম করা হল। তারা ভুপৃষ্ঠে উদভ্রান্ত হয়ে ফিরবে। অতএব, আপনি অবাধ্য সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না। |
| Literal | (God) said: "So that it truly is forbidden/prohibited on them forty years, they stray/wander in the earth/Planet Earth, so do not grieve on the nation the debauchers ." |
| Yusuf Ali | Allah said: "Therefore will the land be out of their reach for forty years: In distraction will they wander through the land: But sorrow thou not over these rebellious people. |
