بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [47:21] | TaAAatun waqawlun maAAroofun fa-ithaAAazama al-amru falaw sadaqoo Allaha lakanakhayran lahum
| طاعة وقول معروف فإذا عزم الأمر فلو صدقوا الله لكان خيرا لهم طَاعَةٌ وَقَوْلٌ مَّعْرُوفٌ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ الْأَمْرُ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا اللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ |
Words | |طاعة - (Is) obedience| وقول - and a word| معروف - kind.| فإذا - And when| عزم - (is) determined| الأمر - the matter,| فلو - then if| صدقوا - they had been true| الله - (to) Allah,| لكان - surely, it would have been| خيرا - better| لهم - for them.| |

| ታዛዥነትና መልካም ንግግር (ይሻላቸዋል) ትዕዛዙም ቁርጥ በኾነ ጊዜ ለአላህ (ትዕዛዝ) እውነተኞች በኾኑ ኖሮ ለእነርሱ የተሻለ በኾነ ነበር፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { طاعة وقول معروف } أي حسن لك { فإذا عزم الأمر } أي فرض القتال { فلو صدقوا الله } في الإيمان والطاعة { لكان خيرا لهم } وجملة لو جواب إذا . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের আনুগত্য ও মিষ্ট বাক্য জানা আছে। অতএব, জেহাদের সিন্ধান্ত হলে যদি তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি পদত্ত অংগীকার পূর্ণ করে, তবে তাদের জন্যে তা মঙ্গলজনক হবে। |
Literal | Obedience and a generous word/opinion and belief , so if the matter/affair (was) determined/decided , so if they were truthful (to) God (it) would have been better for them. |
Yusuf Ali | Were it to obey and say what is just, and when a matter is resolved on, it were best for them if they were true to Allah. |
Pickthal | Obedience and a civil word. Then, when the matter is determined, if they are loyal to Allah it will be well for them. |
Arberry | obedience, and words honourable. Then, when the matter is resolved, if they were true to God, it would be better for them. |
Shakir | Obedience and a gentle word (was proper); but when the affair becomes settled, then if they remain true to Allah it would certainly be better for them. |
Sarwar | Since they have (pledged) Us obedience and to speak reasonably, it would be more proper for them, when it is decided (that everyone must take part in the battle), to remain true (in their pledge to God). |
H/K/Saheeh | Obedience and good words. And when the matter [of fighting] was determined, if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them. |
Malik | On their tongues is the promise of obedience and good talk, so if they would have proved their promise with Allah when the final command was given, it would have been better for them.[21] |
