1 [41:51] | Wa-itha anAAamna AAalaal-insani aAArada wanaa bijanibihiwa-itha massahu alshsharru fathoo duAAa-inAAareedin
| وإذا أنعمنا على الإنسان أعرض ونأى بجانبه وإذا مسه الشر فذو دعاء عريض وَإِذَا أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْإِنسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَئَا بِجَانِبِهِ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَاءٍ عَرِيضٍ |
Words | |وإذا - And when| أنعمنا - We bestow favor| على - upon| الإنسان - man,| أعرض - he turns away -| ونأى - and distances himself;| بجانبه - and distances himself;| وإذا - but when| مسه - touches him| الشر - the evil,| فذو - then (he is) full| دعاء - (of) supplication| عريض - lengthy.| |

| በሰውም ላይ ጸጋችንን በለገስን ጊዜ (ከማመስገን) ይዞራል፡፡ በጎኑም ይርቃል፡፡ መከራም ባገኘው ጊዜ የብዙ ልመና ባለቤት ይኾናል፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وإذا أنعمنا على الإنسان } الجنس { أعرض } عن الشكر { وناء بجانبه } ثنى عطفه متبختراً، وفي قراءة بتقديم الهمزة { وإذا مسه الشر فذو دعاءٍ عريض } كثير . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমি যখন মানুষের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করি তখন সে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং পার্শ্ব পরিবর্তন করে। আর যখন তাকে অনিষ্ট স্পর্শ করে, তখন সুদীর্ঘ দোয়া করতে থাকে। |
Literal | And if We blessed/comforted and eased on the human/mankind he objected/opposed and he went far with his side/direction, and if the bad/evil/harm touched him, so (he is owner) of (a) wide/broad call/request/prayer . |
Yusuf Ali | When We bestow favours on man, he turns away, and gets himself remote on his side (instead of coming to Us); and when evil seizes him, (he comes) full of prolonged prayer! |
