| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[4:55] | Faminhum man amana bihi waminhum man saddaAAanhu wakafa bijahannama saAAeeran
|  فمنهم من آمن به ومنهم من صد عنه وكفى بجهنم سعيرا
فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ آمَنَ بِهِ وَمِنْهُم مَّن صَدَّ عَنْهُ وَكَفَى بِجَهَنَّمَ سَعِيرًا |
| Words | |فمنهم - Then of them| من - (are some) who| آمن - believed| به - in him| ومنهم - and of them| من - (are some) who| صد - turned away| عنه - from him,| وكفى - and sufficient| بجهنم - (is) Hell| سعيرا - (as a) Blazing Fire.| |

| ከእነሱም (ከይሁዶች) በእርሱ ያመነ አለ፡፡ ከእነርሱም ከእርሱ ያፈገፈ አለ፡፡ አቃጣይነትም በገሀነም በቃ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فمنهم من آمن به } بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم { ومنهم من صدَّ } أعرض { عنه } فلم يؤمن { وكفي بجهنم سعيرا } عذابا لمن لا يؤمن . |
| Segsen wid iumnen yis, segsen wid i p iugin. Beôka ten ajajiê n Loahennama. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর তাদের কেউ তাকে মান্য করেছে আবার কেউ তার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে রয়েছে। বস্তুতঃ (তাদের জন্য) দোযখের শিখায়িত আগুনই যথেষ্ট। |
| Literal | So from them who believed with (in) Him, and from them who prevented/obstructed from Him, and enough with Hell blazing. |
| Yusuf Ali | Some of them believed, and some of them averted their faces from him: And enough is Hell for a burning fire. |
| Pickthal | And of them were (some) who believed therein and of them were (some) who turned away from it. Hell is sufficient for (their) burning. |
| Arberry | And some of them there are that believe, and some of them that bar from it; Gehenna suffices for a Blaze! |
| Shakir | So of them is he who believes in him, and of them is he who turns away from him, and hell is sufficient to burn. |
| Sarwar | Some have believed, others have disbelieved and tried to prevent people from believing. For these people, only the intense fire of hell is a sufficient punishment. |
