بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Yastaftoonaka quli Allahu yufteekumfee alkalalati ini imruon halaka laysa lahu waladun walahuokhtun falaha nisfu ma taraka wahuwayarithuha in lam yakun laha waladun fa-in kanataithnatayni falahuma alththuluthani mimmataraka wa-in kanoo ikhwatan rijalan wanisaanfalilththakari mithlu haththialonthayayni yubayyinu Allahu lakum an tadilloo waAllahubikulli shay-in AAaleemun

يستفتونك قل الله يفتيكم في الكلالة إن امرؤ هلك ليس له ولد وله أخت فلها نصف ما ترك وهو يرثها إن لم يكن لها ولد فإن كانتا اثنتين فلهما الثلثان مما ترك وإن كانوا إخوة رجالا ونساء فللذكر مثل حظ الأنثيين يبين الله لكم أن تضلوا والله بكل شيء عليم
يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ قُلِ اللّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِي الْكَلاَلَةِ إِنِ امْرُؤٌ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَتَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا الثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ وَإِن كَانُواْ إِخْوَةً رِّجَالاً وَنِسَاءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الْأُنثَيَيْنِ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمْ أَن تَضِلُّواْ وَاللّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

Words

ይጠይቁሃል በላቸው፡- «ወላጅና ልጅ ሳይኖረው በሚወረስ ሰው አላህ ይነግራችኋል፡፡ ለእርሱ ልጅ የሌለው ሰው ቢሞት ለእርሱም እኅት ብትኖረው ለእርስዋ ከተወው ረጀት ግማሹ አላት፡፡ እርሱም ለርሷ ልጅ የሌላት እንደኾነች (በሙሉ) ይወርሳታል፡፡ ሁለት (እኅቶች ወይም ከሁለት በላይ) ቢኾኑም ከተወው ረጀት ከሦስት ሁለት እጁ አላቸው፡፡ ወንድሞች (ና እኅቶች) ወንዶችና ሴቶች ቢኾኑም ለወንዱ የሁለት ሴቶች ድርሻ ብጤ አለው፡፡ አላህ እንዳትሳሳቱ ለእናንተ ያብራራል፡፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡»

آل الجلالين

{ يستفتونك } في الكلالة { قل الله يفتيكم في الكلالة إن امرؤ } مرفوع بفعل يفسره { هلك } مات { ليس له ولد } أي ولا والد وهو الكلالة { وله أختٌ } من أبوين أو أب { فلها نصف ما ترك وهو } أي الأخ كذلك { يرثها } جميع ما تركت { إن لم يكن لها ولد } فإن كان لها ولد ذكر فلا شيء له أو أنثى فله ما فضل من نصيبها ولو كانت الأخت أو الأخ من أم ففرضه السدس كما تقدم أول السورة { فإن كانتا } أي الأختان { اثنتين } أي فصاعدا لأنها نزلت في جابر وقد مات عن أخوات { فلهما الثلثان مما ترك } الأخ { وإن كانوا } أي الورثة { إخوة رجالا ونساء فللذكر } منهم { مثل حظ الأنثيين يبين الله لكم } شرائع دينكم لـ { أن } لا { تضلوا والله بكل شيء عليم } ومنه الميراث روى الشيخان عن البراء أنها آخر آيه نزلت أي من الفرائض .

মুহিউদ্দীন খান

মানুষ আপনার নিকট ফতোয়া জানতে চায় অতএব, আপনি বলে দিন, আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে কালালাহ এর মীরাস সংক্রান্ত সুস্পষ্ট নির্দেশ বাতলে দিচ্ছেন, যদি কোন পুরুষ মারা যায় এবং তার কোন সন্তানাদি না থাকে এবং এক বোন থাকে, তবে সে পাবে তার পরিত্যাক্ত সম্পত্তির অর্ধেক অংশ এবং সে যদি নিঃসন্তান হয়, তবে তার ভাই তার উত্তরাধিকারী হবে। তা দুই বোন থাকলে তাদের জন্য পরিত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির দুই তৃতীয়াংশ। পক্ষান্তরে যদি ভাই ও বোন উভয়ই থাকে, তবে একজন পুরুষের অংশ দুজন নারীর সমান। তোমরা বিভ্রান্ত হবে আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে সুস্পষ্ট ভাবে জানিয়ে দিচ্ছেন। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন সর্ব বিষয়ে পরিজ্ঞাত।

Literal

They ask your opinion/clarification , say: "God decrees/decides in the man or woman without a son/father , if (a) man/human died, not for him (without) a child, and for him (is) a sister, so for her half (of) what he left, and he inherits her if (there) was not for her a child, and if they (B) were two (F), so to them (B/F) the two thirds from what he left, and if they were brothers (siblings) men and women, so to the male equal/alike (the) share (of) the two females, God clarifies for you that (E) you (not) be misguided, and God is with every thing knowledgeable.65

Yusuf Ali

They ask thee for a legal decision. Say: Allah directs (thus) about those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs. If it is a man that dies, leaving a sister but no child, she shall have half the inheritance: If (such a deceased was) a woman, who left no child, Her brother takes her inheritance: If there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of the inheritance (between them): if there are brothers and sisters, (they share), the male having twice the share of the female. Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His law), lest ye err. And Allah hath knowledge of all things.

Pickthal

They ask thee for a pronouncement. Say: Allah hath pronounced for you concerning distant kindred. If a man die childless and he have a sister, hers is half the heritage, and he would have inherited from her had she died childless. And if there be two sisters, then theirs are two-thirds of the heritage, and if they be brethren, men and women, unto the male is the equivalent of the share of two females. Allah expoundeth unto you, so that ye err not. Allah is Knower of all things.

Arberry

They will ask thee for a pronouncement. Say: 'God pronounces to you concerning the indirect heirs. If a man perishes having no children, but he has a sister, she shall receive a half of what he leaves, and he is her heir if she has no children. If there be two sisters, they shall receive two-thirds of what he leaves; if there be brothers and sisters, the male shall receive the portion of two females. God makes clear to you, lest you go astray; God has knowledge of everything.

Shakir

They ask you for a decision of the law. Say: Allah gives you a decision concerning the person who has neither parents nor offspring; if a man dies (and) he has no son and he has a sister, she shall have half of what he leaves, and he shall be her heir she has no son; but if there be two (sisters), they shall have two-thirds of what he leaves; and if there are brethren, men and women, then the male shall have the like of the portion of two females; Allah makes clear to you, lest you err; and Allah knows all things.

Sarwar

They said, "Moses, a giant race of people is living there. We shall never go there unless they leave the land first. If they leave it then we will enter."

H/K/Saheeh

They request from you a [legal] ruling. Say, Allah gives you a ruling concerning one having neither descendants nor ascendants [as heirs]." If a man dies, leaving no child but [only] a sister, she will have half of what he left. And he inherits from her if she [dies and] has no child. But if there are two sisters [or more], they will have two-thirds of what he left. If there are both brothers and sisters, the male will have the share of two females. Allah makes clear to you [His law], lest you go astray. And Allah is Knowing of all things.

Malik

They ask you for a legal decision relating to inheritance in the case of a childless person. Say: Allah gives you His decision about those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs. If a man dies childless and leaves behind a sister, she shall inherit one-half of his estate. If a woman dies childless, her brother will inherit all of her estate. If the childless person leaves behind two sisters, they both shall inherit two-third of his estate; but if he leaves more than two brothers and sisters, the share of each male shall be equal to that of two females. Thus Allah makes His commandments clear to you lest you go astray. Allah has perfect knowledge of everything.[176]

Maulana Ali**

They ask thee for a decision. Say: Allah gives you a decision concerning the person who has neither parents nor children. They seek a ruling from you, Say: "God gives you the ruling for those who have no descendants. If a person passes away and has no children but has a sister, then she shall receive half of what he leaves behind. And he will inherit her fully if she has no child. However, if he has two sisters, then they will receive two thirds of what he left behind; and if he has siblings, male and female, then the male shall receive twice what the female receives." God makes clear to you that you do not stray; God is aware of all things.

Qaribullah

They will ask you for a verdict. Say: 'Allah rules for you concerning the indirect heir (alkalalah which is), if a person dies, having no children, but he has a sister, she shall receive half of what he leaves, and he is her heir if she has no children. If there are two sisters, they shall receive twothirds of what he leaves, if there are siblings, men and women, for a male like the share of two females. Allah clarifies to you, lest you go astray, Allah is Knowledgeable of everything.

George Sale

They will consult thee for thy decision in certain cases; say unto them, God giveth you these determinations, concerning the more remote degrees of kindred. If a man die without issue, and have a sister; she shall have the half of what he shall leave: And he shall be heir to her, in case she have no issue. But if there be two sisters, they shall have between them two third parts of what he shall leave; and of there be several, both brothers and sisters, a male shall have as much as the portion of two females. God declareth unto you these precepts, lest ye err: And God knoweth all things.

Asad

THEY WILL ASK thee to enlighten them. Say: "God enlightens you [thus] about the laws concerning [inheritance from] those who leave no heir in the direct line: If a man dies childless and has a sister, she shall inherit one-half of what he has left, just as he shall inherit from her if she dies childless. But if there are two sisters, both [together] shall have two-thirds of what he has left; and if there are brothers and sisters, then the male shall have the equal of two females' share." God makes [all this] clear unto you, lest you go astray; and God knows everything.

Khalifa**

They consult you; say, "GOD advises you concerning the single person. If one dies and leaves no children, and he had a sister, she gets half the inheritance. If she dies first, he inherits from her, if she left no children. If there were two sisters, they get two-thirds of the inheritance. If the siblings are men and women, the male gets twice the share of the female." GOD thus clarifies for you, lest you go astray. GOD is fully aware of all things.

Hilali/Khan**

. They ask you for a legal verdict. Say: "Allah directs (thus) about AlKalalah (those who leave neither descendants nor ascendants as heirs). If it is a man that dies, leaving a sister, but no child, she shall have half the inheritance. If (such a deceased was) a woman, who left no child, her brother takes her inheritance. If there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of the inheritance; if there are brothers and sisters, the male will have twice the share of the female. (Thus) does Allah makes clear to you (His Law) lest you go astray. And Allah is the All-Knower of everything."

QXP Shabbir Ahemd**

They ask you about the inheritance of a person who is survived by neither ascendants nor descendants. If one dies and leaves no children, and he had a sister, she gets half the inheritance. If she dies first, he inherits from her if she left no children. If there were two sisters they get two-thirds of the inheritance, if there are sisters and brothers, the brother would get twice the share of the sister for reasons already explained (2:80), (4:11). Allah clarifies the Laws so that you might not go astray. Allah is the Knower of all things.

Amay ka so mama na matay, a da a wata iran, na adn a babay niyan na bagian iyan so midiya (ko tamok) ko miniganat iyan: Go skaniyan (a mama) na khawarisan iyan (so kiyaganatan o babay niyan) o da a wata iran: Na amay ka dowa a babay, na bagian iyan so dowa ko tlo baad ko miniganat iyan: Na amay ka siran na magariyari a manga mama, go manga babay, na bagian o isa a mama so lagid o kipantag o dowa a babay. Pphakarayagn rkano o Allah, ka oba kano madadag. Na so Allah na so langowan taman na katawan Iyan.

Ahmed Raza Khan

اے محبوب! تم سے فتویٰ پوچھتے ہیں تم فرمادو کہ اللہ تمہیں کلالہ میں فتویٰ دیتا ہے، اگر کسی مرد کا انتقال ہو جو بے اولاد ہے اور اس کی ایک بہن ہو تو ترکہ میں اس کی بہن کا آدھا ہے اور مرد اپنی بہن کا وارث ہوگا اگر بہن کی اولاد نہ ہو پھر اگر دو بہنیں ہوں ترکہ میں ان کا دو تہائی اور اگر بھائی بہن ہوں مرد بھی اور عورتیں بھی تو مرد کا حصہ دو عورتوں کے برابر، ا لله تمہارے لئے صاف بیان فرماتا ہے کہ کہیں بہک نہ جاؤ، اور اللہ ہرچیز جانتا ہے،

Shabbir Ahmed

فتویٰ پوچھتے ہیں تم سے، کہو اللہ فتویٰ دیتا ہے تم کو -کلالہ- کے بارے میں۔ اگر کوئی شخص مرجائے (اس حالت میں کہ) نہ ہو اس کی اولاد اور ہو اس کی ایک بہن تو اس بہن کے لیے ہے، نصف اس کے ترکے کا۔ اور بھائی وارث ہوگا بہن کے (پُورے مال کا) اگر نہ ہو اس بہن کی کوئی اولاد۔ پھر اگر ہوں دو بہنیں (یا زائد) تو ان کے لیے ہے دوتہائی ترکے کا۔ اور اگر ہوں کئی بھائی بہنیں مرد اور عورتیں تو مرد کے لیے ہے برابر دو عورتوں کے حصّہ کے۔ کھول کھول کر بیان کرتا ہے اللہ تمہارے لیے (اپنے احکام) تاکہ بھٹکتے نہ پھرو تم اور اللہ ہر چیز کا پورا علم رکھتا ہے۔

Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary

(اے پیغمبر) لوگ تم سے (کلالہ کے بارے میں) حکم (خدا) دریافت کرتے ہیں کہہ دو کہ خدا کلالہ بارے میں یہ حکم دیتا ہے کہ اگر کوئی ایسا مرد مرجائے جس کے اولاد نہ ہو (اور نہ ماں باپ) اور اس کے بہن ہو تو اس کو بھائی کے ترکے میں سے آدھا حصہ ملے گا۔ اور اگر بہن مرجائے اور اس کے اولاد نہ ہو تو اس کے تمام مال کا وارث بھائی ہوگا اور اگر (مرنے والے بھائی کی) دو بہنیں ہوں تو دونوں کو بھائی کے ترکے میں سے دو تہائی۔ اور اگر بھائی اور بہن یعنی مرد اور عورتیں ملے جلے وارث ہوں تو مرد کا حصہ دو عورتوں کے برابر ہے۔ (یہ احکام) خدا تم سے اس لئے بیان فرماتا ہے کہ بھٹکتے نہ پھرو۔ اور خدا ہر چیز سے واقف ہے

Abul Ala Maududi

لوگ تم سے کلالہ کے معاملہ میں فتویٰ پوچھتے ہیں کہو اللہ تمہیں فتویٰ دیتا ہے اگر کوئی شخص بے اولاد مر جائے اور اس کی ایک بہن ہو تو وہ اس کے ترکہ میں سے نصف پائے گی، اور اگر بہن بے اولاد مرے تو بھائی اس کا وارث ہوگا اگر میت کی وارث دو بہنیں ہوں تو وہ ترکے میں سے دو تہائی کی حقدار ہوں گی، اور اگر کئی بھائی بہنیں ہوں تو عورتوں کا اکہرا اور مردوں کا دوہرا حصہ ہوگا اللہ تمہارے لیے احکام کی توضیح کرتا ہے تاکہ تم بھٹکتے نہ پھرو اور اللہ ہر چیز کا علم رکھتا ہے

تجھ سے حکم دریافت کرتے ہیں کہہ دو الله تمہیں کلالہ کے بارے میں حکم دیتا ہے اگر کوئی شخص مر جائے جس کی اولاد نہ ہو اور اس کی ایک بہن ہو تو اسے اس کے تمام ترکہ کانصف ملے گا اور وہ شخص اس بہن کا وارث ہو گا اگر اس کی کوئی اولاد نہ ہو اور اگر دو بہنیں ہوں تو انہیں کل ترکہ میں سے دو تہائی ملے گا اور اگر چند وارث بھائی بہن ہوں مرد اور عورت تو ایک مرد کو دو عورتوں کے حصہ کے برابر ملے گا الله تم سے اس لیے بیان کرتا ہے کہ تم گمراہ نہ ہو جاؤ اور الله ہر چیز کو جاننے والا ہے
