| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[38:16] | Waqaloo rabbana AAajjil lanaqittana qabla yawmi alhisabi
|  وقالوا ربنا عجل لنا قطنا قبل يوم الحساب
وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| ربنا - "Our Lord!| عجل - Hasten| لنا - for us| قطنا - our share| قبل - before| يوم - (the) Day| الحساب - (of) the Account."| |

| «ጌታችን ሆይ! ከምርመራው ቀን በፊት መጽሐፋችንን አስቸኩልልን» አሉም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا } لما نزل (فأما من أوتي كتابه بيمينه) الخ { ربنا عجل لنا قطنا } أي كتاب أعمالنا { قبل يوم الحساب } قالوا ذلك استهزاء . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলে, হে আমাদের পরওয়ারদেগার, আমাদের প্রাপ্য অংশ হিসাব দিবসের আগেই দিয়ে দাও। |
