| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[37:167] | Wa-in kanoo layaqooloona
|  وإن كانوا ليقولون
وَإِنْ كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ |
| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| كانوا - they used to| ليقولون - say,| |

| እነርሱም (ከሓዲዎቹ) በእርግጥ ይሉ ነበሩ፡- |
| آل الجلالين | { وإن } مخففة من الثقيلة { كانوا } أي كفار مكة { ليقولون } . |
| Llan la qqaôen: |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা তো বলতঃ |
| Literal | And if they (the disbelievers) were saying (E): |
| Yusuf Ali | And there were those who said, |
| Pickthal | And indeed they used to say: |
| Arberry | What though they would say, |
| Shakir | And surely they used to say: |
| Sarwar | Even though they (unbelievers) say, |
| H/K/Saheeh | And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, |
| Malik | Before this, the same disbelievers used to say:[167] |
| Maulana Ali** | Had we a reminder from those of yore, |
| Free Minds | And they used to Say: |
| Qaribullah | What, would they then say: |

| Asad | AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, |

| Na mataan! a siran na ptharoon iran dn: |
