[36:8] | Inna jaAAalna fee aAAnaqihimaghlalan fahiya ila al-athqani fahummuqmahoona
|  إنا جعلنا في أعناقهم أغلالا فهي إلى الأذقان فهم مقمحون
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ أَغْلاَلاً فَهِيَ إِلَى الْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ |
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, We| جعلنا - [We] have placed| في - on| أعناقهم - their necks| أغلالا - iron collars,| فهي - and they| إلى - (are up) to| الأذقان - the chins,| فهم - so they| مقمحون - (are with) heads raised up.| |

| እኛ በአንገቶቻቸው ላይ እንዛዝላዎችን አደረግን፡፡ እርሷም (እንዛዝላይቱ) ወደ አገጮቻቸው ደራሽ ናት፡፡ እነርሱም ራሶቻቸውን ያንጋጠጡ ናቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | {إنا جعلنا في أعناقهم أغلالا} بأن تضم اليها الأيدي لأن الغل يجمع اليد إلى العنق { فهي } أي الأيدي مجموعة { إلى الأذقان } جمع ذقن، وهي مجتمع اللحيين { فهم مقمحون } رافعون رؤوسهم لا يستطيعون خفضها، وهذا تمثيل، والمراد أنهم لا يذعنون للإيمان ولا يخفضون رؤوسهم له . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমি তাদের গর্দানে চিবুক পর্যন্ত বেড়ী পরিয়েছি। ফলে তাদের মস্তক উর্দ্ধমুখী হয়ে গেছে। |
| Literal | We (E) put/made in their necks leather/iron collars or handcuffs, so it is to the chins/beards, so they are being forced to raise their heads while lowering their eyes from humility. |
