1 [31:6] | Wamina alnnasi man yashtareelahwa alhadeethi liyudilla AAan sabeeli Allahibighayri AAilmin wayattakhithaha huzuwan ola-ikalahum AAathabun muheenun
| ومن الناس من يشتري لهو الحديث ليضل عن سبيل الله بغير علم ويتخذها هزوا أولئك لهم عذاب مهين وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ |
Words | |ومن - And of| الناس - the mankind| من - (is he) who| يشتري - purchases,| لهو - idle tales| الحديث - idle tales| ليضل - to mislead| عن - from| سبيل - (the) path| الله - (of) Allah| بغير - without| علم - knowledge,| ويتخذها - and takes it| هزوا - (in) ridicule.| أولئك - Those| لهم - for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| مهين - humiliating.| |

| ከሰዎችም ያለ ዕውቀት ሆኖ ከአላህ መንገድ ሊያሳስትና ማላገጫ አድርጎ ሊይዛት አታላይ ወሬን የሚገዛ አልለ፡፡ እነዚያ ለእነርሱ አዋራጅ ቅጣት አላቸው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { ومن الناس من يشتري لهو الحديث } أي ما يلهي منه عما يعني { ليضلَّ } بفتح الياء وضمها { عن سبيل الله } طريق الإسلام { بغير علمٍ ويتخذها } بالنصب عطفاً على يضل، وبالرفع عطفاً على يشتري { هزؤاً } مهزوءاً بها { أولئك لهم عذاب مهين } ذو إهانة. |
| Ger yimdanen, wid ippa$en awal n zzhu, iwakken ad nnetlafen seg ubrid n Öebbi, war tamusni. U fellas ttihin. I wigi, aâaqeb isdullun. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | একশ্রেণীর লোক আছে যারা মানুষকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে গোমরাহ করার উদ্দেশে অবান্তর কথাবার্তা সংগ্রহ করে অন্ধভাবে এবং উহাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করে। এদের জন্য রয়েছে অবমাননাকর শাস্তি। |
Literal | And from the people who buys the information's/speeches' amusement/fun to misguide from God's way/path without knowledge, and He takes it mockingly/making fun, those, for them (is) a humiliating/degrading torture. |
Yusuf Ali | But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. |
Pickthal | And of mankind is he who payeth for mere pastime of discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and maketh it the butt of mockery. For such there is a shameful doom. |
Arberry | Some men there are who buy diverting talk to lead astray from the way of God without knowledge, and to take it in mockery; those -- there awaits them a humbling chastisement. |

H/K/Saheeh | And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. |
Malik | Among the people there are some who purchase frivolous tales so that they may lead people away from the Way of Allah, without any knowledge, and take the invitation to the Right Way as a mockery. For such people there will be a humiliating punishment.[6] |

Contrary to what some of the commentators assume, the above statement does not refer to any one person (allegedly a contemporary of the Prophet) but describes a type of mentality and has, therefore, a general import.] so as to lead [those] without knowledge astray from the path of God, and to turn it to ridicule: for such there is shameful suffering in store. |
Khalifa** | Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and thus divert others from the path of GOD without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution. |
Hilali/Khan** | And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e.music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Quran) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire). |
QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | But among people, there are those who invest their time in HADITH which is unfounded, so as to lead those without knowledge away from the Path of Allah, making mockery of it (the Qur'an). For such there is shameful punishment in store. |
