[3:165] | Awa lamma asabatkum museebatunqad asabtum mithlayha qultum anna hathaqul huwa min AAindi anfusikum inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun
|  أولما أصابتكم مصيبة قد أصبتم مثليها قلتم أنى هذا قل هو من عند أنفسكم إن الله على كل شيء قدير
أَوَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُم مِّثْلَيْهَا قُلْتُمْ أَنَّى هَـذَا قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |

| ሁለት ብጤዎችዋን በእርግጥ ያገኛችሁ የኾነች መከራ (መጠቃት) ባገኘቻችሁ ጊዜ «ይህ ከየት ነው» አላችሁን «እርሱ ከነፍሶቻችሁ ዘንድ ነው፡፡» አላህ በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነውና በላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { أولّما أصابتكم مصيبة } بأحد بقتل سبعين منكم { قد أصبتم مثليها } ببدر بقتل سبعين وأسر سبعين منهم { قلتم } متعجبين { أنَّى } من أين لنا { هذا } الخذلان ونحن مسلمون ورسولُ الله فينا والجملةُ الأخيرة محل للاستفهام الإنكارى { قل } لهم { هو من عند أنفسكم } لأنكم تركتم المركز فخُذلتم { إن الله على كل شيء قديرٌ } ومنه النصر وحده وقد جازاكم بخلافكم . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যখন তোমাদের উপর একটি মুসীবত এসে পৌছাল, অথচ তোমরা তার পূর্বেই দ্বিগুণ কষ্টে পৌছে গিয়েছ, তখন কি তোমরা বলবে, এটা কোথা থেকে এল? তাহলে বলে দাও, এ কষ্ট তোমাদের উপর পৌছেছে তোমারই পক্ষ থেকে। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ প্রত্যেক বিষয়ের উপর ক্ষমতাশীল। |
| Literal | Or when a disaster struck/hit you , you had struck/hit equal to it twice , you said: "From where (is) that (the disaster)?" Say: "It is from at yourselves, that God (is) on every thing capable/able ." |
