بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [3:161] | Wama kana linabiyyin anyaghulla waman yaghlul ya/ti bima ghalla yawma alqiyamatithumma tuwaffa kullu nafsin ma kasabat wahum layuthlamoona
| وما كان لنبي أن يغل ومن يغلل يأت بما غل يوم القيامة ثم توفى كل نفس ما كسبت وهم لا يظلمون وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَن يَغُلَّ وَمَن يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
Words | |وما - And not| كان - is| لنبي - for a Prophet| أن - that| يغل - he defrauds.| ومن - And whoever| يغلل - defrauds| يأت - will bring| بما - what| غل - he had defrauded| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) Resurrection.| ثم - Then| توفى - is repaid in full| كل - every| نفس - soul| ما - what| كسبت - it earned| وهم - and they| لا - (will) not| يظلمون - be wronged.| |

| ለነቢይም ሰለባን መደበቅ አይገባውም፡፡ ሰለባንም የሚደብቅ ሰው በትንሣኤ ቀን በደበቀው ነገር (ተሸክሞ) ይመጣል፡፡ ከዚያም ነፍስ ሁሉ የሥራዋን ዋጋ ትሞላለች፡፡ እነርሱም አይበደሉም፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | ونزلت لما فقدت قطيفة حمراء يوم أحد فقال بعض الناس: لعل النبي أخذها: { وما كان } ما ينبغي { لنبي أن يّغُلَّ } يخون في الغنيمة فلا تظنوا به ذلك، وفي قراءة بالبناء للمفعول أن ينسب إلى الغلول { ومن يغلُل يأت بما غلَّ يوم القيامة } حاملا له على عنقه { ثم تُوفَّى كل نفس } الغال وغيره جزاء { ما كسبت } عملت { وهم لا يُظلمون } شيئا . |
| Ur issefk ara i nnbi ad idnes. Win idensen, a d ias s wayen idnes, ass n tnekra. Sinna, yal wa, ad as ippunefk wayen ikseb. Nitni, ur ten pmeôôiôen. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর কোন বিষয় গোপন করে রাখা নবীর কাজ নয়। আর যে লোক গোপন করবে সে কিয়ামতের দিন সেই গোপন বস্তু নিয়ে আসবে। অতঃপর পরিপূর্ণভাবে পাবে প্রত্যেকে, যা সে অর্জন করেছে। আর তাদের প্রতি কোন অন্যায় করা হবে না। |
Literal | And (it) was not to a prophet to cheat/defraud , and who cheats/defrauds comes with what he cheated/defrauded (in) the Resurrection Day, then each self is fulfilled what it gathered/acquired ,and they are not being caused injustice to/oppressed. |
Yusuf Ali | No prophet could (ever) be false to his trust. If any person is so false, He shall, on the Day of Judgment, restore what he misappropriated; then shall every soul receive its due,- whatever it earned,- and none shall be dealt with unjustly. |
Pickthal | It is not for any prophet to embezzle. Whoso embezzleth will bring what he embezzled with him on the Day of Resurrection. Then every soul will be paid in full what it hath earned; and they will not be wronged. |
Arberry | It is not for a Prophet to be fraudulent; whoso defrauds shall bring the fruits of his fraud on the Day of Resurrection; then every soul shall be paid in full what it has earned, and they shall not be wronged. |
Shakir | And it is not attributable to a prophet that he should act unfaithfully; and he who acts unfaithfully shall bring that in respect of which he has acted unfaithfully on the day of resurrection; then shall every soul be paid back fully what it has earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. |
Sarwar | No Prophet can ever be treacherous. A treacherous person will be brought before God on the Day of Judgment with his treacherous deeds. Then every soul will be recompensed for its works without being wronged. |
H/K/Saheeh | It is not [attributable] to any prophet that he would act unfaithfully [in regard to war booty]. And whoever betrays, [taking unlawfully], will come with what he took on the Day of Resurrection. Then will every soul be [fully] compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged. |
Malik | No prophet could (ever) be false to his trust. If any person is so false, He shall, on the Day of Judgment, restore what he misappropriated; then shall every soul receive its due,- whatever it earned,- and none shall be dealt with unjustly. [3:161] |
Maulana Ali** | And it is not for a prophet to act dishonestly. And whoever acts dishonestly will bring his dishonesty on the day of Resurrection. Then shall every soul be paid back fully what it has earned, and they will not be wronged. |

Qaribullah | It is not for a Prophet to defraud, whosoever defrauds shall bring that fraud on the Day of Resurrection. Then, every soul shall be paid in full what it has earned, and they shall not be wronged. |
George Sale | It is not the part of a prophet to defraud, for he who defraudeth, shall bring with him what he hath defrauded any one of, on the day of the resurrection. Then shall every soul be paid what he hath gained; and they shall not be treated unjustly. |
JM Rodwell | It is not the Prophet who will defraud you;-But he who shall defraud, shall come forth with his defraudings on the day of the resurrection: then shall every soul be paid what it hath merited, and they shall not be treated with injustice. |
Asad | AND IT IS not conceivable that a prophet should deceive - since he who deceives shall be faced with his deceit on the Day of Resurrection, when every human being shall be repaid in full for whatever he has done, and none shall be wronged. |
Khalifa** | Even the prophet cannot take more of the spoils of war than he is entitled to. Anyone who takes more than his rightful share will have to account for it on the Day of Resurrection. That is when each soul is paid for whatever it earned, without the least injustice. |
Hilali/Khan** | It is not for any Prophet to take illegally a part of booty (Ghulul), and whosoever deceives his companions as regards the booty, he shall bring forth on the Day of Resurrection that which he took (illegally). Then every person shall be paid in full what he has earned, - and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. |
QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | No Prophet could ever act dishonestly. Anyone who acts dishonestly will have to account for it on the Day of Resurrection. That is when every "Self" shall receive the recompense and they will not be wronged. |
