بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [3:159] | Fabima rahmatin mina Allahilinta lahum walaw kunta faththan ghaleethaalqalbi lainfaddoo min hawlika faoAAfuAAanhum waistaghfir lahum washawirhum fee al-amrifa-itha AAazamta fatawakkal AAala Allahiinna Allaha yuhibbu almutawakkileena
| فبما رحمة من الله لنت لهم ولو كنت فظا غليظ القلب لانفضوا من حولك فاعف عنهم واستغفر لهم وشاورهم في الأمر فإذا عزمت فتوكل على الله إن الله يحب المتوكلين فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لاَنفَضُّواْ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ |
Words | |فبما - So because| رحمة - (of) Mercy| من - from| الله - Allah| لنت - you dealt gently| لهم - with them.| ولو - And if| كنت - you had been| فظا - rude| غليظ - (and) harsh| القلب - (at) [the] heart,| لانفضوا - surely they (would have) dispersed| من - from| حولك - around you.| فاعف - Then pardon| عنهم - [from] them| واستغفر - and ask forgiveness| لهم - for them| وشاورهم - and consult them| في - in| الأمر - the matter.| فإذا - Then when| عزمت - you have decided,| فتوكل - then put trust| على - on| الله - Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| يحب - loves| المتوكلين - the ones who put trust (in Him).| |

| ከአላህም በኾነች ችሮታ ለዘብክላቸው፡፡ ዐመለ መጥፎ ልበ ደረቅም በኾንክ ኖሮ ከዙሪያህ በተበተኑ ነበር፡፡ ከእነርሱም ይቅር በል፡፡ ለእነርሱም ምሕረትን ለምንላቸው፡፡ በነገሩም ሁሉ አማክራቸው፡፡ ቁርጥ ሐሳብም ባደረግህ ጊዜ በአላህ ላይ ተመካ፡፡ አላህ በርሱ ላይ ተመኪዎችን ይወዳልና፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { فبما رحمة من الله لِنْتَ } يا محمد { لهم } أي سهلت أخلاقك إذ خالفوك { ولو كنت فظا } سيء الخُلُق { غليظ القلب } جافيا فأغلظت لهم { لا نفضُّوا } تفرقوا { من حولك فاعف } تجاوز { عنهم } ما أتوه { واستغفر لهم } ذنوبهم حتى أغفر لهم { وشاورهم } استخرج آراءهم { في الأمر } أي شأنك من الحرب وغيرة تطيبيا لقلوبهم ولستن بك وكان صلى الله عليه وسلم كثير المشاورة لهم . (فإذا عزمت) على إمضاء ما تريد بعد المشاورة { فَتوكَّلْ على الله } ثق به لا بالمشاورة { إن الله يحب المتوكلين } عليه . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আল্লাহর রহমতেই আপনি তাদের জন্য কোমল হৃদয় হয়েছেন পক্ষান্তরে আপনি যদি রাগ ও কঠিন হৃদয় হতেন তাহলে তারা আপনার কাছ থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যেতো। কাজেই আপনি তাদের ক্ষমা করে দিন এবং তাদের জন্য মাগফেরাত কামনা করুন এবং কাজে কর্মে তাদের পরামর্শ করুন। অতঃপর যখন কোন কাজের সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করে ফেলেন, তখন আল্লাহ তা’আলার উপর ভরসা করুন আল্লাহ তাওয়াক্কুল কারীদের ভালবাসেন। |
Literal | So with what mercy from God you became lenient/softened to them, and if you were rough/rude/crude, hard/strong the heart/mind, they would have scattered/separated from around you, so forgive/pardon on them, and ask for forgiveness for them, and discuss/consult with them in the matter/affair, so if you decided/determined, so rely/depend on God, that God loves/likes the reliant/dependent . |
Yusuf Ali | It is part of the Mercy of Allah that thou dost deal gently with them Wert thou severe or harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: so pass over (Their faults), and ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs (of moment). Then, when thou hast Taken a decision put thy trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him). |
Pickthal | It was by the mercy of Allah that thou wast lenient with them (O Muhammad), for if thou hadst been stern and fierce of heart they would have dispersed from round about thee. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs. And when thou art resolved, then put thy trust in Allah. Lo! Allah loveth those who put their trust (in Him). |
Arberry | It was by some mercy of God that thou wast gentle to them; hadst thou been harsh and hard of heart, they would have scattered from about thee. So pardon them, and pray forgiveness for them, and take counsel with them in the affair; and when thou art resolved, put thy trust in God; surely God loves those who put their trust. |
Shakir | Thus it is due to mercy from Allah that you deal with them gently, and had you been rough, hard hearted, they would certainly have dispersed from around you; pardon them therefore and ask pardon for them, and take counsel with them in the affair; so when you have decided, then place your trust in Allah; surely Allah loves those who trust. |
Sarwar | Only through the Divine Mercy have you (Muhammad) been able to deal with your followers so gently. If you had been stern and hard-hearted, they would all have deserted you a long time ago. Forgive them and ask God to forgive (their sins) and consult with them in certain matters. But ,when you reach a decision, trust God. God loves those who trust Him. |

Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | (اے محمدﷺ) خدا کی مہربانی سے تمہاری افتاد مزاج ان لوگوں کے لئے نرم واقع ہوئی ہے۔ اور اگر تم بدخو اور سخت دل ہوتے تو یہ تمہارے پاس سے بھاگ کھڑے ہوتے۔ تو ان کو معاف کردو اور ان کے لئے (خدا سے) مغفرت مانگو۔ اور اپنے کاموں میں ان سے مشورت لیا کرو۔ اور جب (کسی کام کا) عزم مصمم کرلو تو خدا پر بھروسا رکھو۔ بےشک خدا بھروسا رکھنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے |
Mehmood Al Hassan | سو کچھ اللہ ہی کی رحمت ہے جو تو نرم دل مل گیا ان کو اور اگر تو ہوتا تندخو سخت دل تو متفرق ہو جاتے تیرے پاس سے سو تو ان کو معاف کر اور ان کے واسطے بخشش مانگ اور ان سے مشورہ لے کام میں پھر جب قصد کر چکا تو اس کام کا تو پھر بھروسہ کر اللہ پر اللہ کو محبت ہے |
Abul Ala Maududi | (اے پیغمبرؐ) یہ اللہ کی بڑی رحمت ہے کہ تم اِن لوگوں کے لیے بہت نرم مزاج واقع ہوئے ہو ورنہ اگر کہیں تم تند خو اور سنگ دل ہوتے تو یہ سب تمہارے گردو پیش سے چھٹ جاتے اِن کے قصور معاف کر دو، اِن کے حق میں دعا ئے مغفرت کرو، اور دین کے کام میں ان کو بھی شریک مشورہ رکھو، پھر جب تمہارا عزم کسی رائے پر مستحکم ہو جائے تو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرو، اللہ کو وہ لوگ پسند ہیں جو اُسی کے بھروسے پر کام کرتے ہیں |
