| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[28:47] | Walawla an tuseebahum museebatunbima qaddamat aydeehim fayaqooloo rabbana lawlaarsalta ilayna rasoolan fanattabiAAa ayatikawanakoona mina almu/mineena
|  ولولا أن تصيبهم مصيبة بما قدمت أيديهم فيقولوا ربنا لولا أرسلت إلينا رسولا فنتبع آياتك ونكون من المؤمنين
وَلَوْلَا أَن تُصِيبَهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Words | |ولولا - And if not| أن - [that]| تصيبهم - struck them| مصيبة - a disaster| بما - for what| قدمت - had sent forth| أيديهم - their hands| فيقولوا - and they would say,| ربنا - "Our Lord!| لولا - Why not| أرسلت - You sent| إلينا - to us| رسولا - a Messenger| فنتبع - so we (could have) followed| آياتك - Your Verses| ونكون - and we (would) have been| من - of| المؤمنين - the believers?"| |

| እጆቻቸውም ባሳለፉት ምክንያት መከራ የምትነካቸውና «ጌታችን ሆይ! አንቀጾችህን እንድንከተል ከምእምናንም እንድንኾን ወደኛ መልክተኛን አትልክም ኖሯልን» የሚሉ ባልኾኑ ኖሮ (አንልክም ነበር)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولولا أن تصيبهم مصيبة } عقوبة { بما قدمت أيديهم } من الكفر وغيره { فيقولوا ربنا لولا } هلا { أرسلت إلينا رسولا فنتبع آياتك } المرسل بها { ونكون من المؤمنين } وجواب لولا محذوف وما بعده مبتدأ، والمعنى لولا الإصابة المسبب عنها قولهم أو لولا قولهم المسبب عنها لعاجلناهم بالعقوبة ولما أرسلناك إليهم رسولا. |
| Mulac, ma têuza ten tiyta id urwen ifassen nnsen, a d inin: "a Mass nne$! A lemmer i $ d Tuznev amazan, a neddu d issekniyen iK, a nili seg wid iumnen"! |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর এ জন্য যে, তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্যে তাদের কোন বিপদ হলে তারা বলত, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, তুমি আমাদের কাছে কোন রসূল প্রেরণ করলে না কেন? করলে আমরা তোমার আয়াতসমূহের অনুসরণ করতাম এবং আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপনকারী হয়ে যেতাম। |
| Literal | Had it not been for that a disaster strikes them because (of) what their hands presented/undertook , so they said: "Our Lord, if only you sent on (to) us a messenger, so we follow your verses/evidences/signs, and we be from the believers." |
| Yusuf Ali | If (We had) not (sent thee to the Quraish),- in case a calamity should seize them for (the deeds) that their hands have sent forth, they might say: "Our Lord! why didst Thou not sent us a messenger? We should then have followed Thy Signs and been amongst those who believe!" |
