| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[25:7] | Waqaloo mali hatha alrrasooliya/kulu alttaAAama wayamshee fee al-aswaqilawla onzila ilayhi malakun fayakoona maAAahu natheeran
|  وقالوا مال هذا الرسول يأكل الطعام ويمشي في الأسواق لولا أنزل إليه ملك فيكون معه نذيرا
وَقَالُوا مَالِ هَذَا الرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِي فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُ نَذِيرًا |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| مال - "Why does| هذا - this| الرسول - Messenger| يأكل - eat| الطعام - [the] food| ويمشي - and walk| في - in| الأسواق - the markets?| لولا - Why not| أنزل - is sent down| إليه - to him| ملك - an Angel| فيكون - then he be| معه - with him| نذيرا - a warner?| |

| ለዚህም መልክተኛ ምግብን የሚበላ፣ በገበያዎችም የሚኼድ ሲኾን ምን (መልክተኛነት) አለው ከርሱ ጋር አስፈራሪ ይኾን ዘንድ ወደርሱ መልአክ (ገሃድ) አይወረድም ኖሯልን አሉ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا مال هذا الرسول يأكل الطعام ويمشي في الأسواق لولا } هلا { أنزل إليه ملك أو جاء معه نذيرا } يصدقه . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলে, এ কেমন রসূল যে, খাদ্য আহার করে এবং হাটে-বাজারে চলাফেরা করে? তাঁর কাছে কেন কোন ফেরেশতা নাযিল করা হল না যে, তাঁর সাথে সতর্ককারী হয়ে থাকত? |
| Literal | And they said: "What to that (what is the matter) the messenger, he eats the food and walks in the markets, if only an angel was descended to him, so he (the angel) becomes a warner with him." |
| Yusuf Ali | And they say: "What sort of a messenger is this, who eats food, and walks through the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him to give admonition with him? |
| Pickthal | And they say: What aileth this messenger (of Allah) that he eateth food and walketh in the markets? Why is not an angel sent down unto him, to be a warner with him. |
