| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[23:106] | Qaloo rabbana ghalabatAAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena
|  قالوا ربنا غلبت علينا شقوتنا وكنا قوما ضالين
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ |
| Words | |قالوا - They (will) say,| ربنا - "Our Lord!| غلبت - Overcame| علينا - [on] us| شقوتنا - our wretchedness,| وكنا - and we were| قوما - a people| ضالين - astray.| |

| ይላሉ «ጌታችን ሆይ! በእኛ ላይ መናጢነታችን አሸነፈችን፡፡ ጠማማዎችም ሕዝቦች ነበርን፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قالوا ربنا غلبت علينا شقوتنا } وفي قراءة شقاوتنا بفتح أوله وألف وهما مصدران بمعنى { وكنا قوماً ضالين } عن الهداية . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলবেঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমরা দূর্ভাগ্যের হাতে পরাভূত ছিলাম এবং আমরা ছিলাম বিভ্রান্ত জাতি। |
| Literal | They said: "Our Lord our misery/unhappiness defeated/overcame on us, and we were a misguided nation." |
