| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[20:109] | Yawma-ithin la tanfaAAu alshshafaAAatuilla man athina lahu alrrahmanuwaradiya lahu qawlan
|  يومئذ لا تنفع الشفاعة إلا من أذن له الرحمن ورضي له قولا
يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا تَنفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ وَرَضِيَ لَهُ قَوْلًا |
| Words | |يومئذ - (On) that Day| لا - not| تنفع - will benefit| الشفاعة - the intercession| إلا - except| من - (to) whom| أذن - has given permission| له - [to him]| الرحمن - the Most Gracious,| ورضي - and He has accepted| له - for him| قولا - a word.| |

| በዚያ ቀን ለእርሱ አልረሕማን የፈቀደለትንና ለእርሱም ቃልን የወደደለትን ሰው ቢኾን እንጅ ምልጃ (አንድንም) አትጠቅምም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { يومئذ لا تنفع الشفاعة } أحداً { إلا من أذن له الرحمن } أن يشفع له { ورضي له قولا } بأن يقول: لا إله إلا الله . |
| Assen, ur ten tenfaâ ccafuâa, siwa i win Iooa Uênin, u Iôuva t $ef wawal. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | দয়াময় আল্লাহ যাকে অনুমতি দেবেন এবং যার কথায় সন্তুষ্ট হবেন সে ছাড়া কারও সুপারিশ সেদিন কোন উপকারে আসবে না। |
| Literal | (On) that day the mediation does not benefit/become useful, except whom the merciful permitted/allowed for him, and accepted/approved for him a saying/word . |
| Yusuf Ali | On that Day shall no intercession avail except for those for whom permission has been granted by (Allah) Most Gracious and whose word is acceptable to Him. |
| Pickthal | On that day no intercession availeth save (that of) him unto whom the Beneficent hath given leave and whose word He accepteth. |
| Arberry | Upon that day the intercession will not profit, save for him to whom the All-merciful gives leave, and whose speech He approves. |
