بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [20:108] | Yawma-ithin yattabiAAoona alddaAAiyala AAiwaja lahu wakhashaAAati al-aswatu lilrrahmanifala tasmaAAu illa hamsan
| يومئذ يتبعون الداعي لا عوج له وخشعت الأصوات للرحمن فلا تسمع إلا همسا يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ الدَّاعِيَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُ وَخَشَعَتِ الْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا |
Words | |يومئذ - On that Day| يتبعون - they will follow| الداعي - the caller,| لا - no| عوج - deviation| له - from it.| وخشعت - And (will be) humbled| الأصوات - the voices| للرحمن - for the Most Gracious,| فلا - so not| تسمع - you will hear| إلا - except| همسا - a faint sound.| |

| በዚያ ቀን (ለመሰብሰብ) ጠሪውን ለእርሱ መጣመም የሌለውን መከተል ይከተላሉ፡፡ ድምጾችም ለአልረሕማን ጸጥ ይላሉ፡፡ ስለዚህ ሹክሹክታን እንጂ አትሰማም፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { يومئذ } أي يوم إذ نسفت الجبال { يتبعون } أي الناس بعد القيام من القبور { الداعي } إلى المحشر بصوته وهو إسرافيل يقول: هلموا إلى عرض الرحمن { لا عوج له } أي لاتباعهم: أي لا يقدرون أن لا يتعبوا { وخشعت } سكنت { الأصوات للرحمن فلا تسمع إلا همسا } صوت وطء الأقدام في نقلها إلى المحشر كصوت أخفاف الإبل في مشيها . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সেই দিন তারা আহবানকারীর অনুসরণ করবে, যার কথা এদিক-সেদিক হবে না এবং দয়াময় আল্লাহর ভয়ে সব শব্দ ক্ষীণ হয়ে যাবে। সুতরাং মৃদু গুঞ্জন ব্যতীত তুমি কিছুই শুনবে না। |
Literal | (On) that day they follow the caller/requester, no crookedness/indirectness for it, and the voices/sounds silenced/humbled to the merciful, so you do not hear except whispering/quiet or subdued voices. |
Yusuf Ali | On that Day will they follow the Caller (straight): no crookedness (can they show) him: all sounds shall humble themselves in the Presence of (Allah) Most Gracious: nothing shalt thou hear but the tramp of their feet (as they march). |
Pickthal | On that day they follow the summoner who deceiveth not, and voices are hushed for the Beneficent, and thou hearest but a faint murmur. |
Arberry | On that day they will follow the Summoner in whom is no crookedness; voices will be hushed to the All-merciful, so that thou hearest naught but a murmuring. |
Shakir | On that day they shall follow the inviter, there is no crookedness in him, and the voices shall be low before the Beneficent Allah so that you shall not hear aught but a soft sound. |

The most vociferous of leaders will subdue their voices before the Message of the Beneficent. You will only hear soft voices, gentle footsteps. |
