| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:34] | Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa abawaistakbara wakana mina alkafireena
|  وإذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس أبى واستكبر وكان من الكافرين
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى وَاسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| للملائكة - to the angels,| اسجدوا - "Prostrate| لآدم - to Adam,"| فسجدوا - [so] they prostrated| إلا - except| إبليس - Iblis.| أبى - He refused| واستكبر - and was arrogant| وكان - and became| من - of| الكافرين - the disbelievers.| |

| ለመላእክትም «ለአደም ስገዱ» ባልን ጊዜ (አስታውስ) ፡፡ ሁሉም ወዲያውኑ ሰገዱ፤ ኢብሊስ (ዲያብሎስ) ብቻ ሲቀር እምቢ አለ፤ ኮራም ከከሓዲዎቹም ኾነ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { و } اذكر { إذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم } سجود تحية بالانحناء { فسجدوا إلا إبليس } هو أبو الجن كان بين الملائكة { أبى } امتنع من السجود { واستكبر } تكبَّر عنه وقال: أنا خير منه { وكان من الكافرين } في علم الله. |
| Mi Nenna i lmalayek: "knumt i Adem"! Knant, siwa Iblis. Iugi, u isme$weô iman is. Illa seg ijehliyen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এবং যখন আমি হযরত আদম (আঃ)-কে সেজদা করার জন্য ফেরেশতাগণকে নির্দেশ দিলাম, তখনই ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সিজদা করলো। সে (নির্দেশ) পালন করতে অস্বীকার করল এবং অহংকার প্রদর্শন করল। ফলে সে কাফেরদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে গেল। |
| Literal | And when We said to the angels: "Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Satan , he refused/hated and became arrogant, and he was from the disbelievers. |
