بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [2:280] | Wa-in kana thoo AAusratinfanathiratun ila maysaratin waan tasaddaqookhayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona
| وإن كان ذو عسرة فنظرة إلى ميسرة وأن تصدقوا خير لكم إن كنتم تعلمون وَإِن كَانَ ذُو عُسْرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَى مَيْسَرَةٍ وَأَن تَصَدَّقُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ |
Words | |وإن - And if| كان - is| ذو - the (debtor)| عسرة - in difficulty,| فنظرة - then postponement| إلى - until| ميسرة - ease.| وأن - And if| تصدقوا - you remit as charity| خير - (it is) better| لكم - for you.| إن - If| كنتم - you| تعلمون - know.| |

| የድኽነት ባለቤት የኾነም (ባለዕዳ) ሰው ቢኖር እማግኘት ድረስ ማቆየት ነው፡፡ (በመማር) መመጽወታችሁም ለእናንተ በላጭ ነው፡፡ የምታውቁ ብትኾኑ (ትሠሩታላችሁ)፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | ( وإن كان ) وقع غريم ( ذو عسرة فنظرة ) له أي عليكم تأخيره ( إلى ميسرة ) بفتح السين وضمها أي وقت يسر ( وأن تصدقوا ) بالتشديد على إدغام التاء في الأصل في الصاد وبالتخفيف على حذفها أي تتصدقوا على المعسر بالإبراء ( خير لكم إن كنتم تعلمون ) أنه خير فافعلوه وفي الحديث "" من أنظر معسرا أو وضع عنه أظله الله في ظله يوم لا ظل إلا ظله "" رواه مسلم . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যদি খাতক অভাবগ্রস্থ হয়, তবে তাকে সচ্ছলতা আসা পর্যন্ত সময় দেয়া উচিত। আর যদি ক্ষমা করে দাও, তবে তা খুবই উত্তম যদি তোমরা উপলব্ধি কর। |
Literal | And if he was of a hardship/poverty , so a consideration/glance to an easiness/prosperity , and that (E) you give charity (forgive the loan), (it is) best/better for you if you were knowing. |
Yusuf Ali | If the debtor is in a difficulty, grant him time Till it is easy for him to repay. But if ye remit it by way of charity, that is best for you if ye only knew. |
Pickthal | And if the debtor is in straitened circumstances, then (let there be) postponement to (the time of) ease; and that ye remit the debt as almsgiving would be better for you if ye did but know. |
