بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Allahu la ilaha illahuwa alhayyu alqayyoomu la ta/khuthuhusinatun wala nawmun lahu ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi man tha allatheeyashfaAAu AAindahu illa bi-ithnihi yaAAlamu mabayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wala yuheetoonabishay-in min AAilmihi illa bima shaawasiAAa kursiyyuhu alssamawati waal-ardawala yaooduhu hifthuhumawahuwa alAAaliyyu alAAatheemu

الله لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم لا تأخذه سنة ولا نوم له ما في السماوات وما في الأرض من ذا الذي يشفع عنده إلا بإذنه يعلم ما بين أيديهم وما خلفهم ولا يحيطون بشيء من علمه إلا بما شاء وسع كرسيه السماوات والأرض ولا يئوده حفظهما وهو العلي العظيم
اللّهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

Words

አላህ ከእርሱ በቀር ሌላ አምላክ የለም፡፡ ሕያው ራሱን ቻይ ነው፡፡ ማንገላጀትም እንቅልፍም አትይዘውም፡፡ በሰማያት ውስጥና በምድር ውስጥ ያለው ሁሉ የርሱ ብቻ ነው፡፡ ያ እርሱ ዘንድ በፈቃዱ ቢኾን እንጅ የሚያማልድ ማነው? (ከፍጡሮች) በፊታቸው ያለውንና ከኋላቸው ያለውን ሁሉ ያውቃል፡፡ በሻውም ነገር እንጂ ከዕውቀቱ በምንም ነገር አያካብቡም (አያውቁም)፡፡ መንበሩ ሰማያትንና ምድርን ሰፋ፡፡ ጥበቃቸውም አያቅተውም፡፡ እርሱም የሁሉ በላይ ታላቅ ነው፡፡

آل الجلالين

{ الله لا إله } أي لا معبود بحق في الوجود { إلا هو الحيُّ } الدائم بالبقاء { القيوم } المبالغ في القيام بتدبير خلقه { لاتأخذه سنة } نعاس { ولا نوم له ما في السماوات وما في الأرض } ملكا وخلقا وعبيدا { من ذا الذي } أي لا أحد { يشفع عنده إلا بإذنه } له فيها { يعلم ما بين أيديهم } أي الخلق { وما خلفهم } أي من أمر الدنيا والآخرة { ولا يحيطون بشيء من علمه } أي لا يعلمون شيئا من معلوماته { إلا بما شاء } أن يعلمهم به منها بأخبار الرسل { وسع كرسيه السماوات والأرض } قيل أحاط علمه بهما وقيل ملكه وقيل الكرسي نفسه مشتمل عليهما لعظمته، لحديث : ما السماوات السبع في الكرسى إلا كدارهم سبعة ألقيت في ترس { ولا يئوده } يثقله { حفظهما } أي السماوات والأرض { وهو العلي } فوق خلقه بالقهر { العظيم } الكبير .

মুহিউদ্দীন খান

আল্লাহ ছাড়া অন্য কোন উপাস্য নেই, তিনি জীবিত, সবকিছুর ধারক। তাঁকে তন্দ্রাও স্পর্শ করতে পারে না এবং নিদ্রাও নয়। আসমান ও যমীনে যা কিছু রয়েছে, সবই তাঁর। কে আছ এমন, যে সুপারিশ করবে তাঁর কাছে তাঁর অনুমতি ছাড়া? দৃষ্টির সামনে কিংবা পিছনে যা কিছু রয়েছে সে সবই তিনি জানেন। তাঁর জ্ঞানসীমা থেকে তারা কোন কিছুকেই পরিবেষ্টিত করতে পারে না, কিন্তু যতটুকু তিনি ইচ্ছা করেন। তাঁর সিংহাসন সমস্ত আসমান ও যমীনকে পরিবেষ্টিত করে আছে। আর সেগুলোকে ধারণ করা তাঁর পক্ষে কঠিন নয়। তিনিই সর্বোচ্চ এবং সর্বাপেক্ষা মহান।

Literal

God, no God except He, the live/alive, the of no beginning and self sufficient , no drowsiness/slumber ,and nor sleep takes Him, for Him what (is) in the skies/space and what (is) in the earth/Planet Earth. Who (is) that who mediates at Him, except with His permission ? He knows what (is) between their hands and what (is) behind them, and they do not comprehend/envelope with a thing from His knowledge, except with what He wills/wants. His throne/knowledge extended/contained/enriched the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and (it) does not tire/burden Him their (B)'s protection/observation , and He (is) the high/dignified , the great .

Yusuf Ali

Allah! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

Pickthal

Allah! There is no deity save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.

Arberry

God there is no god but He, the Living, the Everlasting. Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is there that shall intercede with Him save by His leave? He knows what lies before them and what is after them, and they comprehend not anything of His knowledge save such as He wills. His Throne comprises the heavens and earth; the preserving of them oppresses Him not; He is the All-high, the All-glorious.

Shakir

Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.

Sarwar

God exists. There is no God but He, the Everlasting and the Guardian of life. Drowsiness or sleep do not seize him. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. No one can intercede with Him for others except by His permission. He knows about people's present and past. No one can grasp anything from His knowledge besides what He has permitted them to grasp. The heavens and the earth are under His dominion. He does not experience fatigue in preserving them both. He is the Highest and the Greatest.

H/K/Saheeh

Allah there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Malik

Allah! There is no god but Him: the Living, the Eternal. He neither slumbers nor sleeps. To Him belongs all that is in the Heavens and the Earth. Who can intercede with Him without His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them. They cannot gain access to any thing out of His knowledge except what He pleases. His throne is more vast than the heavens and the earth, and guarding of these both does not fatigue Him. He is the Exalted, the Supreme.[255]

His Seat embraces the heavens and the earth, and the preserving of them does not weary Him. He is the High, the Great.

His eternal power overspreads the heavens and the earth, and their upholding wearies Him not. And he alone is truly exalted, tremendous.

GOD: there is no other god besides Him, the Living, the Eternal. Never a moment of unawareness or slumber overtakes Him. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Who could intercede with Him, except in accordance with His will? He knows their past, and their future. No one attains any knowledge, except as He wills. His dominion encompasses the heavens and the earth, and ruling them never burdens Him. He is the Most High, the Great.

Hilali/Khan**

Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursee extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursee.)

These directions, tidings and warnings come from Allah, the One True God. There is no god but He, the Living, the Originator of life, the Self-Subsisting Sustainer of all creation. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtakes Him. All that exists in the Highs and the Lows, in the Heavens and the Earth, belongs to Him alone. Who can intercede in His Court, except as a witness of Law? His Knowledge transcends time and space. No one can encompass a trace of His Knowledge but through His Laws. The Throne of His Supreme Control extends over the Highs and the Lows. No fatigue touches Him as He benevolently guards His Dominion and creation. He is the Glorious, the Supreme.

اللہ کہ نہیں ہے کوئی معبود سوائے اس کے زندۂ جاوید ہے، پوری کائنات کو سنبھالے ہوئے ہے۔ نہیں آتی اس کو اونگھ اور نہ نیند۔ اسی کا ہے جو کچھ ہے آسمانوں میں اور جو کچھ زمین میں۔ کون ہے جو سفارش کرسکے اس کے حضور بغیر اس کی اجازت کے۔ وہ جانتا ہے اسے بھی جو بندوں کے سامنے ہے اور وہ بھی جو ان سے اوجھل ہے اور نہیں احاطہ کرسکتے وہ، ذرا بھی اس کے علم میں سے مگر جس قدر وہ چاہے، حاوی ہے اس کی کرسی آسمانوں اور زمین پر، اور نہیں تھکاتی اس کو نگہبانی ان دونوں کی، اور وہی ہے برتر اور عظیم۔

خدا (وہ معبود برحق ہے کہ) اس کے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں زندہ ہمیشہ رہنے والا اسے نہ اونگھ آتی ہے نہ نیند جو کچھ آسمانوں میں اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہیں سب اسی کا ہے کون ہے جو اس کی اجازت کے بغیر اس سے (کسی کی) سفارش کر سکے جو کچھ لوگوں کے روبرو ہو رہا ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے پیچھے ہوچکا ہے اسے سب معلوم ہے اور وہ اس کی معلومات میں سے کسی چیز پر دسترس حاصل نہیں کر سکتے ہاں جس قدر وہ چاہتا ہے (اسی قدر معلوم کرا دیتا ہے) اس کی بادشاہی (اور علم) آسمان اور زمین سب پر حاوی ہے اور اسے ان کی حفاظت کچھ بھی دشوار نہیں وہ بڑا عالی رتبہ اور جلیل القدر ہے

اللہ، وہ زندہ جاوید ہستی، جو تمام کائنات کو سنبھالے ہوئے ہے، اُس کے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے وہ نہ سوتا ہے اور نہ اُسے اونگھ لگتی ہے زمین اور آسمانوں میں جو کچھ ہے، اُسی کا ہے کون ہے جو اُس کی جناب میں اُس کی اجازت کے بغیر سفارش کر سکے؟ جو کچھ بندوں کے سامنے ہے اسے بھی وہ جانتا ہے اور جو کچھ اُن سے اوجھل ہے، اس سے بھی وہ واقف ہے اور اُس کی معلومات میں سے کوئی چیز اُن کی گرفت ادراک میں نہیں آسکتی الّا یہ کہ کسی چیز کا علم وہ خود ہی اُن کو دینا چاہے اُس کی حکومت آسمانوں اور زمین پر چھائی ہوئی ہے اور اُن کی نگہبانی اس کے لیے کوئی تھکا دینے والا کام نہیں ہے بس وہی ایک بزرگ و برتر ذات ہے

الله کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں زندہ ہےسب کا تھامنے والا نہ اس کی اونگھ دبا سکتی ہے نہ نیند آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کا ہے ایسا کون ہے جو اس کی اجازت کے سوا اس کے ہاں سفارش کر سکے مخلوقات کے تمام حاضر اور غائب حالات کو جانتا ہے اور وہ سب اس کی معلومات میں سےکسی چیز کا احاطہ نہیں کر سکتے مگر جتنا کہ وہ چاہے اس کی کرسی نے سب آسمانوں اور زمین کو اپنے اندر لے رکھا ہے اور الله کو ان دونوں کی حفاظت کچھ گراں نہیں گزرتی اور وہی سب سےبرتر عظمت والا ہے
