| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:241] | Walilmutallaqati mataAAunbialmaAAroofi haqqan AAala almuttaqeena
|  وللمطلقات متاع بالمعروف حقا على المتقين
وَلِلْمُطَلَّقَاتِ مَتَاعٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ |
| Words | |وللمطلقات - And for the divorced women,| متاع - (is) a provision| بالمعروف - in a fair manner -| حقا - a duty| على - upon| المتقين - the righteous.| |

| ለተፈቱ ሴቶችም በችሎታ መጠን ዳረጎት አላቸው፡፡ አላህን በሚፈሩ ላይ ተደንግጓል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وللمطلّقات متاع } يعطينه { بالمعروف } بقدر الإمكان { حقّا } نصب بفعله المقدر { على المتقين } الله تعالى كرره ليعم الممسوسة أيضا إذ الآية السابقة في غيرها . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তালাকপ্রাপ্তা নারীদের জন্য প্রচলিত নিয়ম অনুযায়ী খরচ দেয়া পরহেযগারদের উপর কর্তব্য। |
| Literal | And for the divorcees (F) alimony with the kindness/generosity deservedly/rightfully on the fearing and obeying (God). |
| Yusuf Ali | For divorced women Maintenance (should be provided) on a reasonable (scale). This is a duty on the righteous. |
| Pickthal | For divorced women a provision in kindness: a duty for those who ward off (evil). |
| Arberry | There shall be for divorced women provision honourable -- an obligation on the godfearing. |
