| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:154] | Wala taqooloo liman yuqtalu feesabeeli Allahi amwatun bal ahyaon walakinla tashAAuroona
|  ولا تقولوا لمن يقتل في سبيل الله أموات بل أحياء ولكن لا تشعرون
وَلاَ تَقُولُواْ لِمَنْ يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَمْوَاتٌ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ وَلَكِن لاَّ تَشْعُرُونَ |
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تقولوا - say| لمن - for (the ones) who| يقتل - are slain| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| أموات - "(They are) dead."| بل - Nay,| أحياء - (they are) alive| ولكن - [and] but| لا - you (do) not| تشعرون - perceive.| |

| በአላህ መንገድ (ለሃይማኖቱ) የሚገደሉትን ሰዎችም «ሙታን ናቸው» አትበሉ፡፡ በእውነቱ ሕያዋን ናቸው፤ ግን አታውቁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولا تقولوا لمن يقتل في سبيل الله } هم { أموات بل } هم { أحياء } أرواحهم في حواصل طيور خضر تسرح في الجنة حيث شاءت لحديث بذلك { ولكن لا تشعرون } تعلمون ما هم فيه . |
| Ur qqaôet mmuten wid ipwan$an deg ubrid n Öebbi. Xaîi d imuddiren, maca ur teêûim ara. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যারা আল্লাহর রাস্তায় নিহত হয়, তাদের মৃত বলো না। বরং তারা জীবিত, কিন্তু তোমরা তা বুঝ না। |
| Literal | And do not say to whom is being killed in God's way/sake : "Deads." But (they are) alive, and but you do not feel/know/sense. |
| Yusuf Ali | And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah: "They are dead." Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it) not. |
| Pickthal | And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. |
| Arberry | And say not of those slain in God's way, 'They are dead'; rather they are living, but you are not aware. |
