| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:141] | Tilka ommatun qad khalat laha makasabat walakum ma kasabtum wala tus-aloona AAammakanoo yaAAmaloona
|  تلك أمة قد خلت لها ما كسبت ولكم ما كسبتم ولا تسألون عما كانوا يعملون
تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُم مَّا كَسَبْتُمْ وَلاَ تُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ |
| Words | |تلك - This| أمة - (was) a community| قد - (which)| خلت - has passed away,| لها - for it| ما - what| كسبت - it earned| ولكم - and for you| ما - what| كسبتم - you have earned.| ولا - And not| تسألون - you will be asked| عما - about what| كانوا - they used to| يعملون - do.| |

| ይህቺ በእርግጥ ያለፈች ሕዝብ ናት፤ ለእርሷ የሠራችው አላት፤ ለናንተም የሠራችሁት አላችሁ፤ ይሠሩትም ከነበሩት አትጠየቁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { تلك أمة قد خلت لها ما كسبت ولكم ما كسبتم ولا تُسألون عما كانوا يعملون } تقدم مثله . |
| Asatu agi iâadda. Ines ayen ikseb, nnwen ayen tkesbem. Ur fellawen asteqsi $ef wayen xeddmen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তার চাইতে অত্যাচারী কে, যে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে তার কাছে প্রমাণিত সাক্ষ্যকে গোপন করে? আল্লাহ তোমাদের কর্ম সম্পর্কে বেখবর নন। সে সম্প্রদায় অতীত হয়ে গেছে। তারা যা করেছে, তা তাদের জন্যে এবং তোমরা যা করছ, তা তোমাদের জন্যে। তাদের কর্ম সম্পর্কে তোমাদের জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে না। |
| Literal | That (is) a nation had passed/expired for it what it earned/acquired , and for you what you earned/acquired , and you are not (to) be asked/questioned about what they were making/doing . |
| Yusuf Ali | That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case: |
