| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[17:19] | Waman arada al-akhirata wasaAAalaha saAAyaha wahuwa mu/minun faola-ika kanasaAAyuhum mashkooran
|  ومن أراد الآخرة وسعى لها سعيها وهو مؤمن فأولئك كان سعيهم مشكورا
وَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْآخِرَةَ وَسَعَى لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُم مَّشْكُورًا |
| Words | |ومن - And whoever| أراد - desires| الآخرة - the Hereafter| وسعى - and exerts| لها - for it| سعيها - the effort,| وهو - while he| مؤمن - (is) a believer,| فأولئك - then those| كان - [are]| سعيهم - their effort,| مشكورا - (is) appreciated.| |

| መጨረሻይቱንም ዓለም የፈለገ ሰው እርሱ አማኝ ኾኖ ለርሷ (ተገቢ) ሥራዋን የሠራም ሰው እነዚህ ሥራቸው የተመሰገነ ይኾናል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ومن أراد الآخرة وسعى لها سعيها } عمل عملها اللائق بها { وهو مؤمن } حال { فأولئك كان سعيهم مشكورا } عند الله أي مقبولاً مثابا عليه . |
| Win ib$an laxeôt, iaâzem fellas yal laâzem, u neppa iumen; widak, tajmilt i laâzem nnsen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যারা পরকাল কামনা করে এবং মুমিন অবস্থায় তার জন্য যথাযথ চেষ্টা-সাধনা করে, এমন লোকদের চেষ্টা স্বীকৃত হয়ে থাকে। |
| Literal | And who wanted the end (other life) and strived/tended to it its striving/hastiness , and he is believing, so those their striving/hastiness was thanked. |
| Yusuf Ali | Those who do wish for the (things of) the Hereafter, and strive therefor with all due striving, and have Faith,- they are the ones whose striving is acceptable (to Allah). |
| Pickthal | And whoso desireth the Hereafter and striveth for it with the effort necessary, being a believer; for such, their effort findeth favour (with their Lord). |
| Arberry | And whosoever desires the world to come and strives after it as he should, being a believer -- those, their striving shall be thanked. |
| Shakir | And whoever desires the hereafter and strives for it as he ought to strive and he is a believer; (as for) these, their striving shall surely be accepted. |
