| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[17:11] | WayadAAu al-insanu bialshsharriduAAaahu bialkhayri wakana al-insanuAAajoolan
|  ويدع الإنسان بالشر دعاءه بالخير وكان الإنسان عجولا
وَيَدْعُ الْإِنسَانُ بِالشَّرِّ دُعَاءَهُ بِالْخَيْرِ وَكَانَ الْإِنسَانُ عَجُولاً |
| Words | |ويدع - And prays| الإنسان - the man| بالشر - for evil| دعاءه - (as) he prays| بالخير - for the good.| وكان - And is| الإنسان - the man| عجولا - ever hasty.| |

| ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል፡፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ويَدْعُ الإنسان بالشر } على نفسه وأهله إذا ضجر { دعاءه } أي كدعائه له { بالخير وكان الإنسان } الجنس { عجولا } بالدعاء على نفسه وعدم النظر في عاقبته . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | মানুষ যেভাবে কল্যাণ কামনা করে, সেভাবেই অকল্যাণ কামনা করে। মানুষ তো খুবই দ্রুততা প্রিয়। |
| Literal | And the human/mankind calls/prays with the bad/evil/harm (as) his call/prayer with the better/wealth , and the human/mankind was hurrying/hastening . |
