| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:38] | Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihimla yabAAathu Allahu man yamootu bala waAAdanAAalayhi haqqan walakinna akthara alnnasila yaAAlamoona
|  وأقسموا بالله جهد أيمانهم لا يبعث الله من يموت بلى وعدا عليه حقا ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون
وَأَقْسَمُواْ بِاللّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لاَ يَبْعَثُ اللّهُ مَن يَمُوتُ بَلَى وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Words | |وأقسموا - And they swear| بالله - by Allah| جهد - strongest| أيمانهم - (of) their oaths,| لا - Allah will not resurrect| يبعث - Allah will not resurrect| الله - Allah will not resurrect| من - (one) who| يموت - dies.| بلى - Nay,| وعدا - (it is) a promise| عليه - upon Him| حقا - (in) truth,| ولكن - but| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the mankind| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| |

| መሓሎቻቸውምን አላህ የሚሞትን ሰው አያስነሳም ሲሉ በአላህ ስም ማሉ፡፡ ሐሰት ነው (ያስነሳቸዋል)፡፡ በእርሱ ላይ ቃል ኪዳን ገብቷል፡፡ አረጋግጧል፤ ግን አብዛኞቹ ሰዎች አያውቁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وأقسموا بالله جهد أيمانهم } أي غاية اجتهادهم فيها { لا يبعث الله من يموت } قال تعالى { بلى } يبعثهم { وعداً عليه حقا } مصدران مؤكدان منصوبان بفعلهما المقدر أي وعد ذلك وحقه حقا { ولكن أكثر الناس } أي أهل مكة { لا يعلمون } ذلك . |
| Ggulen s Öebbi, liman iûeêêan nnsen, ar ur d Ippara ara Öebbi wid immuten. Xaîi, lemâahda fellas d tidep, maca tegwti n medden ur ssinen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা আল্লাহর নামে কঠোর শপথ করে যে, যার মৃত্যু হয় আল্লাহ তাকে পুনরুজ্জীবিত করবেন না। অবশ্যই এর পাকাপোক্ত ওয়াদা হয়ে গেছে। কিন্তু, অধিকাংশ লোক জানে না। |
| Literal | And they swore/made oath by God their rights'/oaths' utmost , (that) God does not send/resurrect/revive who dies, yes/certainly a promise on Him truth , and but most of the people do not know. |
| Yusuf Ali | They swear their strongest oaths by Allah, that Allah will not raise up those who die: Nay, but it is a promise (binding) on Him in truth: but most among mankind realise it not. |

| Ahmed Raza Khan | اور انہوں نے اللہ کی قسم کھائی اپنے حلف میں حد کی کوشش سے کہ اللہ مُردے نہ اٹھائے گا ہاں کیوں نہیں (۷۹) سچا وعدہ اس کے ذمہ پر لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے |
| Shabbir Ahmed | اور قسم کھا کر کہتے ہیں اللہ کے نام کی، سخت ترین قسم کہ نہیں اُٹھائے گا اللہ اسے جو مرجاتا ہے۔ کیوں نہیں (اٹھائے گا) یہ وعدہ ہے جسے پورا کرنا اس نے اپنے اوپر لازم کرلیا ہے لیکن بہت سے انسان نہیں جانتے۔ |

| Abul Ala Maududi | یہ لوگ اللہ کے نام سے کڑی کڑی قسمیں کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ "اللہ کسی مرنے والے کو پھر سے زندہ کر کے نہ اٹھائے گا" اٹھائے گا کیوں نہیں، یہ تو ایک وعدہ ہے جسے پورا کرنا اس نے اپنے اوپر واجب کر لیا ہے، مگر اکثر لوگ جانتے نہیں ہیں |
