| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[13:32] | Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablikafaamlaytu lillatheena kafaroo thumma akhathtuhumfakayfa kana AAiqabi
|  ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فأمليت للذين كفروا ثم أخذتهم فكيف كان عقاب
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِىءَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ |
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly,| استهزئ - were mocked| برسل - Messengers| من - from| قبلك - before you,| فأمليت - but I granted respite| للذين - to those who| كفروا - disbelieved;| ثم - then| أخذتهم - I seized them,| فكيف - and how| كان - was| عقاب - My penalty.| |

| ከአንተ በፊት በነበሩትም መልክተኞች በእርግጥ ተላግጦባቸዋል፡፡ ለእነዚያም ለካዱት ጊዜን ሰጠኋቸው፡፡ ከዚያም (በቅጣት) ያዝኩዋቸው፡፡ ቅጣቴም እንዴት ነበር! |
| آل الجلالين | { ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك } كما استهزئ بك وهذا تسلية للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم { فأمْليتُ } أمهلت { للذين كفروا ثم أخذتهم } بالعقوبة { فكيف كان عقاب } أي هو واقع موقعه فكذلك أفعل بمن استهزأ بك . |
| Ni$ mmaâlken, uqbel ik, deg imazanen. Ooi$ lmudda i wid ijehlen, sinna, Ïîfe$ ten. A yaâaqeb iW imiren! |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আপনার পূর্বে কত রাসূলের সাথে ঠাট্টা করা হয়েছে। অতঃপর আমি কাফেরদেরকে কিছু অবকাশ দিয়েছি। , এর পর তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছি। অতএব কেমন ছিল আমার শাস্তি। |
| Literal | And with messengers from before you had been mocked/made fun (of), so I extended to those who disbelieved in time/enjoyment , then I punished them , so how was My punishment? |
| Yusuf Ali | Mocked were (many) messengers before thee: but I granted respite to the unbelievers, and finally I punished them: Then how (terrible) was my requital! |
| Pickthal | And verily messengers (of Allah) were mocked before thee, but long I bore with those who disbelieved. At length I seized them, and how (awful) was My punishment! |
