بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [12:66] | Qala lan orsilahu maAAakum hattatu/tooni mawthiqan mina Allahi lata/tunnanee bihi illaan yuhata bikum falamma atawhu mawthiqahum qalaAllahu AAala ma naqoolu wakeelun
| قال لن أرسله معكم حتى تؤتون موثقا من الله لتأتنني به إلا أن يحاط بكم فلما آتوه موثقهم قال الله على ما نقول وكيل قَالَ لَنْ أُرْسِلَهُ مَعَكُمْ حَتَّى تُؤْتُونِ مَوْثِقًا مِّنَ اللّهِ لَتَأْتُنَّنِي بِهِ إِلاَّ أَن يُحَاطَ بِكُمْ فَلَمَّا آتَوْهُ مَوْثِقَهُمْ قَالَ اللّهُ عَلَى مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌ |
Words | |قال - He said,| لن - "Never| أرسله - will I send him| معكم - with you| حتى - until| تؤتون - you give to me| موثقا - a promise| من - by| الله - Allah| لتأتنني - that surely you will bring him to me| به - that surely you will bring him to me| إلا - unless| أن - that| يحاط - you are surrounded."| بكم - you are surrounded."| فلما - And when| آتوه - they had given him| موثقهم - their promise,| قال - he said,| الله - "Allah| على - over| ما - what| نقول - we say| وكيل - (is) a Guardian."| |

| «ካልተከበባችሁ በስተቀር እርሱን በእርግጥ የምታመጡልኝ ለመሆናችሁ ከአላህ የሆነን ቃል ኪዳን መተማመኛ እስከምትሰጡኝ ድረስ ከእናንተ ጋር ፈጽሞ አልልከውም» አላቸው፡፡ መተማመኛቸውንም በሰጡት ጊዜ «አላህ በምንለው ሁሉ ላይ ምስክር ነው» አላቸው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { قال لن أرسله معكم حتى تؤتون موثقا } عهدا { من الله } بأن تحلفوا { لتأتنني به إلا أن يحاط بكم } بأن تموتوا أو تغلبوا فلا تطيقوا الإتيان به فأجابوه إلى ذلك { فلما آتوه موثقهم } بذلك { قال الله على ما نقول } نحن وأنتم { وكيل } شهيد وأرسله معهم . |
| Inna: "ur t sedduye$ yidwen, d awez$i, siwa ma tcubkem iyi s Öebbi, ard a yi t id terrem, siwa ma zzin awen". Mi s âahden, inna: "Öebbi d Awkil $ef wayen id nenna". |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | বললেন, তাকে ততক্ষণ তোমাদের সাথে পাঠাব না, যতক্ষণ তোমরা আমাকে আল্লাহর নামে অঙ্গীকার না দাও যে, তাকে অবশ্যই আমার কাছে পৌঁছে দেবে; কিন্তু যদি তোমরা সবাই একান্তই অসহায় না হয়ে যাও। অতঃপর যখন সবাই তাঁকে অঙ্গীকার দিল, তখন তিনি বললেনঃ আমাদের মধ্যে যা কথাবার্তা হলো সে ব্যাপারে আল্লাহই মধ্যস্থ রইলেন। |
Literal | He said: "I will never/not send him with you until you give me a promise/covenant from God to bring him to me (E) except that be (except if you are) surrounded/maneuvered to outsmart with you." So when they gave him their promise/covenant, he said: "God (is) on what we say (a) guardian/trustee ." |
Yusuf Ali | (Jacob) said: "Never will I send him with you until ye swear a solemn oath to me, in Allah's name, that ye will be sure to bring him back to me unless ye are yourselves hemmed in (and made powerless). And when they had sworn their solemn oath, he said: "Over all that we say, be Allah the witness and guardian!" |
Pickthal | He said: I will not send him with you till ye give me an undertaking in the name of Allah that ye will bring him back to me, unless ye are surrounded. And when they gave him their undertaking he said: Allah is the Warden over what we say. |
Arberry | He said, 'Never will I send him with you until you bring me a solemn pledge by God that you will surely bring him back to me unless it be that you are encompassed.' When they had brought him their solemn pledge he said, 'God shall be Guardian over what we say.' |

Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | (یعقوب نے) کہا جب تک تم خدا کا عہد نہ دو کہ اس کو میرے پاس (صحیح سالم) لے آؤ گے میں اسے ہرگز تمہارے ساتھ نہیں بھیجنے کا۔ مگر یہ کہ تم گھیر لیے جاؤ (یعنی بےبس ہوجاؤ تو مجبوری ہے) جب انہوں نے ان سے عہد کرلیا تو (یعقوب نے) کہا کہ جو قول وقرار ہم کر رہے ہیں اس کا خدا ضامن ہے |
Mehmood Al Hassan | کہا ہر گز نہ بھیجوں گا اسکو تمہارے ساتھ یہاں تک کہ دو مجھ کو عہد خدا کا کہ البتہ پہنچا دو گے اسکو میرے پاس مگر یہ کہ گھیرے جاؤ تم سب پھر جب دیا اسکو سب نے عہد بولا اللہ ہماری باتوں پر نگہبان ہے |
Abul Ala Maududi | ان کے باپ نے کہا "میں اس کو ہرگز تمہارے ساتھ نہ بھیجوں گا جب تک کہ تم اللہ کے نام سے مجھ کو پیمان نہ دے دو کہ اِسے میرے پا س ضرور واپس لے کر آؤ گے الا یہ کہ کہیں تم گھیر ہی لیے جاؤ" جب انہوں نے اس کو اپنے اپنے پیمان دے دیے تو اس نے کہا "دیکھو، ہمارے اس قول پر اللہ نگہبان ہے" |
