1 [12:25] | Waistabaqa albabawaqaddat qameesahu min duburin waalfaya sayyidahalada albabi qalat ma jazao manarada bi-ahlika soo-an illa an yusjana aw AAathabunaleemun
| واستبقا الباب وقدت قميصه من دبر وألفيا سيدها لدى الباب قالت ما جزاء من أراد بأهلك سوءا إلا أن يسجن أو عذاب أليم وَاسْتَبَقَا الْبَابَ وَقَدَّتْ قَمِيصَهُ مِن دُبُرٍ وَأَلْفَيَا سَيِّدَهَا لَدَى الْبَابِ قَالَتْ مَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ أَرَادَ بِأَهْلِكَ سُوءًا إِلاَّ أَن يُسْجَنَ أَوْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ |
Words | |واستبقا - And they both raced| الباب - (to) the door| وقدت - and she tore| قميصه - his shirt| من - from| دبر - the back,| وألفيا - and they both found| سيدها - her husband| لدى - at| الباب - the door.| قالت - She said,| ما - "What| جزاء - (is) the recompense| من - (of one) who| أراد - intended| بأهلك - for your wife| سوءا - evil| إلا - except| أن - that| يسجن - he be imprisoned| أو - or| عذاب - a punishment| أليم - painful?"| |

| በሩንም ተሽቀዳደሙ ቀሚሱንም ከበስተኋላው ቀደደችው፡፡ ጌታዋንም (ባለቤቷን) እበሩ አጠገብ አገኙት፡፡ (ቀደም ብላ) «በባለቤትህ መጥፎን ያሰበ ሰው ቅጣቱ መታሰር ወይም አሳማሚ ስቃይ እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም» አለችው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { واستبقا الباب } بادر إليه يوسف للفرار وهي للتشبث به فأمسكت ثوبه وجذبته إليها { وقدَّت } شقت { قميصه من دبر وألفيا } وجدا { سيدها } زوجها { لدى الباب } فنزعت نفسها ثم { قالت ما جزاء من أراد بأهلك سوءا } زنا { إلا أن يسجن } يحبس في سجن { أو عذاب أليم } مؤلم بأن يضرب . |
| Uzzlen ar tebburt, tcerreg as tasedrit is, si zdeffir. Mmugren, argaz is, ar tebburt. Tenna: "acu ay d aqeîîi n win iâabwlen ad iccmet tawacult ik, siwa lêebs ne$ aâaqeb aqeôêan"? |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা উভয়ে ছুটে দরজার দিকে গেল এবং মহিলা ইউসুফের জামা পিছন দিক থেকে ছিঁড়ে ফেলল। উভয়ে মহিলার স্বামীকে দরজার কাছে পেল। মহিলা বললঃ যে ব্যক্তি তোমার পরিজনের সাথে কুকর্মের ইচ্ছা করে, তাকে কারাগারে পাঠানো অথবা অন্য কোন যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি দেয়া ছাড়া তার আর কি শাস্তি হতে পারে? |
Literal | And they (B) raced each other (to) the door/entrance, and she ripped/cut his shirt/dress from (the) back/end and they (B) found her master/ruler/leader at/by/near the door/entrance she said: "What (is the) reward/reimbursement (of) who willed/wanted bad/evil/harm with your family/people except that he be imprisoned or painful torture?" |
Yusuf Ali | So they both raced each other to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back: they both found her lord near the door. She said: "What is the (fitting) punishment for one who formed an evil design against thy wife, but prison or a grievous chastisement?" |
Pickthal | And they raced with one another to the door, and she tore his shirt from behind, and they met her lord and master at the door. She said: What shall be his reward, who wisheth evil to thy folk, save prison or a painful doom? |
Arberry | They raced to the door; and she tore his shirt from behind. They encountered her master by the door. She said, 'What is the recompense of him who purposes evil against thy folk, but that he should be imprisoned, or a painful chastisement?' |

Seeing him she cried: "What punishment does someone who intended evil against your wife deserve except imprisonment or a painful chastisement?"[25] |

| Na miyagorad siran ko pinto, a miyardit iyan so bangkala (o Yosof) sa talikhodan: Go miniphasgawa iran si karoma niyan sii ko pinto, pitharo (o Zolaykha) a: "Da a balas ko taw a phikhadiyatan iyan so taalok rka sa marata a rowar ko kakalabosowa on, odi na siksa a malipds." |

Abul Ala Maududi | آخر کار یوسفؑ اور وہ آگے پیچھے دروازے کی طرف بھاگے اور اس نے پیچھے سے یوسفؑ کا قمیص (کھینچ کر) پھاڑ دیا دروازے پر دونوں نے اس کے شوہر کو موجود پایا اسے دیکھتے ہی عورت کہنے لگی، "کیا سزا ہے اس شخص کی جو تیری گھر والی پر نیت خراب کرے؟ اِس کے سوا اور کیا سزا ہوسکتی ہے کہ وہ قید کیا جائے یا اسے سخت عذاب دیا جائے" |
