| 1 [4:78] | Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtuwalaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wa-in tusibhum hasanatunyaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun minAAindi Allahi famali haola-i alqawmila yakadoona yafqahoona hadeethan |  أينما تكونوا يدرككم الموت ولو كنتم في بروج مشيدة وإن تصبهم حسنة يقولوا هذه من عند الله وإن تصبهم سيئة يقولوا هذه من عندك قل كل من عند الله فمال هؤلاء القوم لا يكادون يفقهون حديثاأَيْنَمَا تَكُونُواْ يُدْرِككُّمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِكَ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ فَمَا لِهَـؤُلاَءِ الْقَوْمِ لاَ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا | |||||
| Words | |أينما - Wherever| تكونوا - you be| يدرككم - will overtake you| الموت - [the] death| ولو - even if| كنتم - you are| في - in| بروج - towers| مشيدة - lofty.| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| حسنة - any good| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| سيئة - any evil| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عندك - (from) you."| قل - Say,| كل - "All| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| فمال - So what (is wrong)| هؤلاء - (with) these| القوم - [the] people,| لا - not| يكادون - do they seem| يفقهون - (to) understand| حديثا - any statement.| | ||||||
| 2 [18:93] | Hatta itha balaghabayna alssaddayni wajada min doonihima qawman layakadoona yafqahoona qawlan | حتى إذا بلغ بين السدين وجد من دونهما قوما لا يكادون يفقهون قولا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ السَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لاَّ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلاً | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until,| إذا - when| بلغ - he reached| بين - between| السدين - the two mountains,| وجد - he found| من - besides them| دونهما - besides them| قوما - a community,| لا - not| يكادون - who would almost| يفقهون - understand| قولا - (his) speech.| | ||||||
| 3 [22:72] | Wa-itha tutla AAalayhim ayatunabayyinatin taAArifu fee wujoohi allatheena kafarooalmunkara yakadoona yastoona biallatheenayatloona AAalayhim ayatina qulafaonabbi-okum bisharrin min thalikum alnnaruwaAAadaha Allahu allatheena kafaroo wabi/saalmaseeru | وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا بينات تعرف في وجوه الذين كفروا المنكر يكادون يسطون بالذين يتلون عليهم آياتنا قل أفأنبئكم بشر من ذلكم النار وعدها الله الذين كفروا وبئس المصير وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الْمُنكَرَ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِالَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَلِكُمُ النَّارُ وَعَدَهَا اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| تتلى - are recited| عليهم - to them| آياتنا - Our Verses| بينات - clear,| تعرف - you will recognize| في - on| وجوه - (the) faces| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieve| المنكر - the denial.| يكادون - They almost| يسطون - attack| بالذين - those who| يتلون - recite| عليهم - to them| آياتنا - Our Verses.| قل - Say,| أفأنبئكم - "Then shall I inform you| بشر - of worse| من - than| ذلكم - that?| النار - The Fire,| وعدها - Allah (has) promised it| الله - Allah (has) promised it| الذين - (for) those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| وبئس - and wretched| المصير - (is) the destination."| | ||||||
