| 1 [5:108] | Thalika adna an ya/too bialshshahadatiAAala wajhiha aw yakhafoo an turadda aymanunbaAAda aymanihim waittaqoo Allaha waismaAAoowaAllahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena |  ذلك أدنى أن يأتوا بالشهادة على وجهها أو يخافوا أن ترد أيمان بعد أيمانهم واتقوا الله واسمعوا والله لا يهدي القوم الفاسقينذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَن يَأْتُواْ بِالشَّهَادَةِ عَلَى وَجْهِهَا أَوْ يَخَافُواْ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَانٌ بَعْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللّهَ وَاسْمَعُواْ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ذلك - That| أدنى - (is) closer| أن - that| يأتوا - they will give| بالشهادة - the testimony| على - in| وجهها - its (true) form| أو - or| يخافوا - they would fear| أن - that| ترد - will be refuted| أيمان - their oaths| بعد - after| أيمانهم - their (others) oaths.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah| واسمعوا - and listen;| والله - and Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the people.| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 2 [17:88] | Qul la-ini ijtamaAAati al-insu waaljinnuAAala an ya/too bimithli hatha alqur-ani laya/toona bimithlihi walaw kana baAAduhum libaAAdinthaheeran | قل لئن اجتمعت الإنس والجن على أن يأتوا بمثل هذا القرآن لا يأتون بمثله ولو كان بعضهم لبعض ظهيرا قُل لَّئِنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْإِنسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى أَن يَأْتُواْ بِمِثْلِ هَـذَا الْقُرْآنِ لاَ يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| لئن - "If| اجتمعت - gathered| الإنس - the mankind| والجن - and the jinn| على - to| أن - [that]| يأتوا - bring| بمثل - the like| هذا - (of) this| القرآن - Quran,| لا - not| يأتون - they (could) bring| بمثله - the like of it,| ولو - even if| كان - were| بعضهم - some of them| لبعض - to some others| ظهيرا - assistants."| | ||||||
| 3 [24:4] | Waallatheena yarmoona almuhsanatithumma lam ya/too bi-arbaAAati shuhadaa faijlidoohumthamaneena jaldatan wala taqbaloo lahum shahadatanabadan waola-ika humu alfasiqoona | والذين يرمون المحصنات ثم لم يأتوا بأربعة شهداء فاجلدوهم ثمانين جلدة ولا تقبلوا لهم شهادة أبدا وأولئك هم الفاسقون وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَةً وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً أَبَدًا وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| يرمون - accuse| المحصنات - the chaste women,| ثم - then| لم - not| يأتوا - they bring| بأربعة - four| شهداء - witnesses,| فاجلدوهم - then flog them| ثمانين - (with) eighty| جلدة - lashe(s)| ولا - and (do) not| تقبلوا - accept| لهم - their| شهادة - testimony| أبدا - ever.| وأولئك - And those,| هم - they| الفاسقون - (are) the defiantly disobedient,| | ||||||
| 4 [24:13] | Lawla jaoo AAalayhibi-arbaAAati shuhadaa fa-ith lam ya/too bialshshuhada-ifaola-ika AAinda Allahi humu alkathiboona | لولا جاءوا عليه بأربعة شهداء فإذ لم يأتوا بالشهداء فأولئك عند الله هم الكاذبون لَوْلَا جَاؤُوا عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاءِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لولا - Why (did) not| جاءوا - they bring| عليه - for it| بأربعة - four| شهداء - witnesses?| فإذ - Then when| لم - not| يأتوا - they brought| بالشهداء - the witnesses,| فأولئك - then those| عند - near Allah,| الله - near Allah,| هم - they| الكاذبون - (are) the liars.| | ||||||
| 5 [24:49] | Wa-in yakun lahumu alhaqqu ya/tooilayhi muthAAineena | وإن يكن لهم الحق يأتوا إليه مذعنين وَإِن يَكُن لَّهُمُ الْحَقُّ يَأْتُوا إِلَيْهِ مُذْعِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - But if| يكن - is| لهم - with them| الحق - the truth,| يأتوا - they come| إليه - to him| مذعنين - (as) promptly obedient.| | ||||||
