| 1 [5:66] | Walaw annahum aqamoo alttawratawaal-injeela wama onzila ilayhim min rabbihimlaakaloo min fawqihim wamin tahti arjulihim minhum ommatunmuqtasidatun wakatheerun minhum saa mayaAAmaloona |  ولو أنهم أقاموا التوراة والإنجيل وما أنزل إليهم من ربهم لأكلوا من فوقهم ومن تحت أرجلهم منهم أمة مقتصدة وكثير منهم ساء ما يعملونوَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُواْ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُواْ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ سَاءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - And if| أنهم - that they| أقاموا - had stood firmly| التوراة - (by) the Taurat| والإنجيل - and the Injeel| وما - and what| أنزل - was revealed| إليهم - to them| من - from| ربهم - their Lord,| لأكلوا - surely they (would have) eaten| من - from| فوقهم - above them| ومن - and from| تحت - beneath| أرجلهم - their feet.| منهم - Among them| أمة - (is) a community| مقتصدة - moderate,| وكثير - but many| منهم - of them -| ساء - evil| ما - (is) what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 2 [22:18] | Alam tara anna Allaha yasjudu lahuman fee alssamawati waman fee al-ardiwaalshshamsu waalqamaru waalnnujoomu waaljibaluwaalshshajaru waalddawabbu wakatheerun minaalnnasi wakatheerun haqqa AAalayhi alAAathabuwaman yuhini Allahu fama lahu min mukrimin inna AllahayafAAalu ma yasha/o | ألم تر أن الله يسجد له من في السماوات ومن في الأرض والشمس والقمر والنجوم والجبال والشجر والدواب وكثير من الناس وكثير حق عليه العذاب ومن يهن الله فما له من مكرم إن الله يفعل ما يشاء أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ وَالنُّجُومُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَالشَّجَرُ وَالدَّوَابُّ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنَ النَّاسِ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ الْعَذَابُ وَمَن يُهِنِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Do not| تر - you see| أن - that| الله - (to) Allah| يسجد - prostrates| له - to Him| من - whoever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| ومن - and whoever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth,| والشمس - and the sun| والقمر - and the moon| والنجوم - and the stars| والجبال - and the mountains,| والشجر - and the trees| والدواب - and the moving creatures| وكثير - and many| من - of| الناس - the people?| وكثير - But many -| حق - (is) justly due| عليه - on him| العذاب - the punishment.| ومن - And whoever| يهن - Allah humiliates| الله - Allah humiliates| فما - then not| له - for him| من - any| مكرم - bestower of honor.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| يفعل - does| ما - what| يشاء - He wills| | ||||||
| 3 [57:16] | Alam ya/ni lillatheena amanooan takhshaAAa quloobuhum lithikri Allahi wamanazala mina alhaqqi wala yakoonoo kaallatheenaootoo alkitaba min qablu fatala AAalayhimu al-amadufaqasat quloobuhum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona | ألم يأن للذين آمنوا أن تخشع قلوبهم لذكر الله وما نزل من الحق ولا يكونوا كالذين أوتوا الكتاب من قبل فطال عليهم الأمد فقست قلوبهم وكثير منهم فاسقون أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Has not| يأن - come (the) time| للذين - for those who| آمنوا - believed| أن - that| تخشع - become humble| قلوبهم - their hearts| لذكر - at (the) remembrance (of) Allah| الله - at (the) remembrance (of) Allah| وما - and what| نزل - has come down| من - of| الحق - the truth?| ولا - And not| يكونوا - they become| كالذين - like those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| من - before,| قبل - before,| فطال - (and) was prolonged| عليهم - for them| الأمد - the term,| فقست - so hardened| قلوبهم - their hearts;| وكثير - and many| منهم - of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 4 [57:26] | Walaqad arsalna noohan wa-ibraheemawajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihima alnnubuwwatawaalkitaba faminhum muhtadin wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona | ولقد أرسلنا نوحا وإبراهيم وجعلنا في ذريتهما النبوة والكتاب فمنهم مهتد وكثير منهم فاسقون وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ فَمِنْهُم مُّهْتَدٍ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| أرسلنا - We sent| نوحا - Nuh| وإبراهيم - and Ibrahim,| وجعلنا - and We placed| في - in| ذريتهما - their offspring| النبوة - Prophethood| والكتاب - and the Scripture;| فمنهم - and among them| مهتد - (is) a guided one,| وكثير - but most| منهم - of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobediently.| | ||||||
| 5 [57:27] | Thumma qaffayna AAala atharihimbirusulina waqaffayna biAAeesa ibni maryamawaataynahu al-injeela wajaAAalna fee quloobiallatheena ittabaAAoohu ra/fatan warahmatan warahbaniyyatanibtadaAAooha ma katabnaha AAalayhimilla ibtighaa ridwani Allahifama raAAawha haqqa riAAayatihafaatayna allatheena amanoo minhumajrahum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona | ثم قفينا على آثارهم برسلنا وقفينا بعيسى ابن مريم وآتيناه الإنجيل وجعلنا في قلوب الذين اتبعوه رأفة ورحمة ورهبانية ابتدعوها ما كتبناها عليهم إلا ابتغاء رضوان الله فما رعوها حق رعايتها فآتينا الذين آمنوا منهم أجرهم وكثير منهم فاسقون ثُمَّ قَفَّيْنَا عَلَى آثَارِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنجِيلَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ رَأْفَةً وَرَحْمَةً وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ابْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَاهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ رِضْوَانِ اللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا فَآتَيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| قفينا - We sent| على - on| آثارهم - their footsteps| برسلنا - Our Messengers| وقفينا - and We followed| بعيسى - with Isa,| ابن - son| مريم - (of) Maryam,| وآتيناه - and We gave him| الإنجيل - the Injeel.| وجعلنا - And We placed| في - in| قلوب - (the) hearts| الذين - (of) those who| اتبعوه - followed him| رأفة - compassion| ورحمة - and mercy.| ورهبانية - But monasticism| ابتدعوها - they innovated -| ما - not| كتبناها - We prescribed it| عليهم - for them -| إلا - only| ابتغاء - seeking| رضوان - (the) pleasure| الله - (of) Allah,| فما - but not| رعوها - they observed it| حق - (with) right| رعايتها - observance.| فآتينا - So We gave| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed| منهم - among them| أجرهم - their reward,| وكثير - but most| منهم - of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobediently.| | ||||||
