| 1 [7:171] | Wa-ith nataqna aljabalafawqahum kaannahu thullatun wathannooannahu waqiAAun bihim khuthoo ma ataynakumbiquwwatin waothkuroo ma feehi laAAallakumtattaqoona |  وإذ نتقنا الجبل فوقهم كأنه ظلة وظنوا أنه واقع بهم خذوا ما آتيناكم بقوة واذكروا ما فيه لعلكم تتقونوَإِذ نَتَقْنَا الْجَبَلَ فَوْقَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُ ظُلَّةٌ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُواْ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| نتقنا - We raised| الجبل - the mountain| فوقهم - above them| كأنه - as if it was| ظلة - a canopy| وظنوا - and they thought| أنه - that it| واقع - (would) fall| بهم - upon them,| خذوا - (We said), "Take| ما - what| آتيناكم - We have given you| بقوة - with strength| واذكروا - and remember| ما - what| فيه - (is) in it| لعلكم - so that you may| تتقون - fear Allah."| | ||||||
| 2 [9:118] | WaAAala alththalathatiallatheena khullifoo hatta itha daqatAAalayhimu al-ardu bima rahubat wadaqatAAalayhim anfusuhum wathannoo an la maljaamina Allahi illa ilayhi thumma tabaAAalayhim liyatooboo inna Allaha huwa alttawwabualrraheemu | وعلى الثلاثة الذين خلفوا حتى إذا ضاقت عليهم الأرض بما رحبت وضاقت عليهم أنفسهم وظنوا أن لا ملجأ من الله إلا إليه ثم تاب عليهم ليتوبوا إن الله هو التواب الرحيم وَعَلَى الثَّلاَثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُواْ حَتَّى إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّواْ أَن لاَّ مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللّهِ إِلاَّ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |وعلى - And on| الثلاثة - the three| الذين - (of) those who| خلفوا - were left behind,| حتى - until| إذا - when| ضاقت - (was) straitened| عليهم - for them| الأرض - the earth,| بما - though| رحبت - it was vast.| وضاقت - And (was) straitened| عليهم - for them| أنفسهم - their own souls| وظنوا - and they were certain| أن - that| لا - (there is) no| ملجأ - refuge| من - from| الله - Allah| إلا - except| إليه - to Him.| ثم - Then| تاب - He turned (in mercy)| عليهم - to them| ليتوبوا - that they may repent.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah,| هو - He| التواب - (is) the Acceptor of repentance,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 3 [10:22] | Huwa allathee yusayyirukum feealbarri waalbahri hatta ithakuntum fee alfulki wajarayna bihim bireehin tayyibatinwafarihoo biha jaat-ha reehunAAasifun wajaahumu almawju min kulli makaninwathannoo annahum oheeta bihimdaAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeenala-in anjaytana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena | هو الذي يسيركم في البر والبحر حتى إذا كنتم في الفلك وجرين بهم بريح طيبة وفرحوا بها جاءتها ريح عاصف وجاءهم الموج من كل مكان وظنوا أنهم أحيط بهم دعوا الله مخلصين له الدين لئن أنجيتنا من هذه لنكونن من الشاكرين هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُواْ بِهَا جَاءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوُاْ اللّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَـذِهِ لَنَكُونَنِّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |هو - He| الذي - (is) the One Who| يسيركم - enables you to travel| في - in| البر - the land| والبحر - and the sea,| حتى - until,| إذا - when| كنتم - you are| في - in| الفلك - the ships| وجرين - and they sail| بهم - with them| بريح - with a wind| طيبة - good,| وفرحوا - and they rejoice| بها - therein| جاءتها - comes to it| ريح - a wind| عاصف - stormy,| وجاءهم - and comes to them| الموج - the waves| من - from| كل - every| مكان - place,| وظنوا - and they assume| أنهم - that they| أحيط - are surrounded| بهم - with them.| دعوا - They call| الله - Allah| مخلصين - sincerely| له - to Him| الدين - (in) the religion,| لئن - (saying), "If| أنجيتنا - You save us| من - from| هذه - this,| لنكونن - surely we will be| من - among| الشاكرين - the thankful."| | ||||||
| 4 [12:110] | Hatta itha istay-asa alrrusuluwathannoo annahum qad kuthiboo jaahumnasruna fanujjiya man nashao walayuraddu ba/suna AAani alqawmi almujrimeena | حتى إذا استيأس الرسل وظنوا أنهم قد كذبوا جاءهم نصرنا فنجي من نشاء ولا يرد بأسنا عن القوم المجرمين حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَيْأَسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُواْ جَاءَهُمْ نَصْرُنَا فَنُجِّيَ مَن نَّشَاءُ وَلاَ يُرَدُّ بَأْسُنَا عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until| إذا - when| استيأس - gave up hope| الرسل - the Messengers,| وظنوا - and thought| أنهم - that they| قد - certainly| كذبوا - were denied,| جاءهم - then came to them| نصرنا - Our help,| فنجي - and was saved| من - whom| نشاء - We willed.| ولا - And not| يرد - (can) be repelled| بأسنا - Our punishment| عن - from| القوم - the people| المجرمين - (who are) criminals.| | ||||||
| 5 [28:39] | Waistakbara huwa wajunooduhu feeal-ardi bighayri alhaqqi wathannooannahum ilayna la yurjaAAoona | واستكبر هو وجنوده في الأرض بغير الحق وظنوا أنهم إلينا لا يرجعون وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واستكبر - And he was arrogant,| هو - And he was arrogant,| وجنوده - and his hosts| في - in| الأرض - the land| بغير - without| الحق - right,| وظنوا - and they thought| أنهم - that they| إلينا - to Us| لا - not| يرجعون - will be returned.| | ||||||
| 6 [41:48] | Wadalla AAanhum ma kanooyadAAoona min qablu wathannoo ma lahum minmaheesin | وضل عنهم ما كانوا يدعون من قبل وظنوا ما لهم من محيص وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَدْعُونَ مِن قَبْلُ وَظَنُّوا مَا لَهُم مِّن مَّحِيصٍ | |||||
| Words | |وضل - And lost| عنهم - from them| ما - what| كانوا - they were| يدعون - invoking| من - before,| قبل - before,| وظنوا - and they (will) be certain| ما - (that) not| لهم - for them| من - any| محيص - place of escape.| | ||||||
| 7 [59:2] | Huwa allathee akhraja allatheenakafaroo min ahli alkitabi min diyarihim li-awwalialhashri ma thanantum an yakhrujoo wathannooannahum maniAAatuhum husoonuhum mina Allahifaatahumu Allahu min haythu lam yahtasiboowaqathafa fee quloobihimu alrruAAba yukhriboonabuyootahum bi-aydeehim waaydee almu/mineena faiAAtabiroo yaolee al-absari | هو الذي أخرج الذين كفروا من أهل الكتاب من ديارهم لأول الحشر ما ظننتم أن يخرجوا وظنوا أنهم مانعتهم حصونهم من الله فأتاهم الله من حيث لم يحتسبوا وقذف في قلوبهم الرعب يخربون بيوتهم بأيديهم وأيدي المؤمنين فاعتبروا يا أولي الأبصار هُوَ الَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مِن دِيَارِهِمْ لِأَوَّلِ الْحَشْرِ مَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن يَخْرُجُوا وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُم مَّانِعَتُهُمْ حُصُونُهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ فَأَتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَمْ يَحْتَسِبُوا وَقَذَفَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الرُّعْبَ يُخْرِبُونَ بُيُوتَهُم بِأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَيْدِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَاعْتَبِرُوا يَا أُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ | |||||
| Words | |هو - He| الذي - (is) the One Who| أخرج - expelled| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| من - from| أهل - (the) People| الكتاب - (of) the Scripture| من - from| ديارهم - their homes| لأول - at (the) first| الحشر - gathering.| ما - Not| ظننتم - you think| أن - that| يخرجوا - they would leave,| وظنوا - and they thought| أنهم - that [they]| مانعتهم - would defend them| حصونهم - their fortresses| من - against| الله - Allah.| فأتاهم - But came to them| الله - Allah| من - from| حيث - where| لم - not| يحتسبوا - they expected,| وقذف - and He cast| في - into| قلوبهم - their hearts| الرعب - [the] terror,| يخربون - they destroyed| بيوتهم - their houses| بأيديهم - with their hands| وأيدي - and the hands| المؤمنين - (of) the believers.| فاعتبروا - So take a lesson,| يا - O| أولي - O those endowed| الأبصار - (with) insight!| | ||||||
