| 1 [16:76] | Wadaraba Allahu mathalanrajulayni ahaduhuma abkamu la yaqdiru AAalashay-in wahuwa kallun AAala mawlahu aynamayuwajjihhu la ya/ti bikhayrin hal yastawee huwa wamanya/muru bialAAadli wahuwa AAala siratinmustaqeemin |  وضرب الله مثلا رجلين أحدهما أبكم لا يقدر على شيء وهو كل على مولاه أينما يوجهه لا يأت بخير هل يستوي هو ومن يأمر بالعدل وهو على صراط مستقيموَضَرَبَ اللّهُ مَثَلاً رَّجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَبْكَمُ لاَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ كَلٌّ عَلَى مَوْلاَهُ أَيْنَمَا يُوَجِّههُّ لاَ يَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي هُوَ وَمَن يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَهُوَ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |وضرب - And Allah sets forth| الله - And Allah sets forth| مثلا - an example| رجلين - (of) two men,| أحدهما - one of them| أبكم - (is) dumb,| لا - not| يقدر - he has power| على - on| شيء - anything,| وهو - while he| كل - (is) a burden| على - on| مولاه - his master.| أينما - Wherever| يوجهه - he directs him| لا - not| يأت - he comes| بخير - with any good.| هل - Is| يستوي - equal| هو - he| ومن - and (the one) who| يأمر - commands| بالعدل - [of] justice,| وهو - and he| على - (is) on| صراط - a path| مستقيم - straight?| | ||||||
| 2 [16:112] | Wadaraba Allahu mathalanqaryatan kanat aminatan mutma-innatanya/teeha rizquha raghadan min kulli makaninfakafarat bi-anAAumi Allahi faathaqaha Allahulibasa aljooAAi waalkhawfi bima kanooyasnaAAoona | وضرب الله مثلا قرية كانت آمنة مطمئنة يأتيها رزقها رغدا من كل مكان فكفرت بأنعم الله فأذاقها الله لباس الجوع والخوف بما كانوا يصنعون وَضَرَبَ اللّهُ مَثَلاً قَرْيَةً كَانَتْ آمِنَةً مُّطْمَئِنَّةً يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ اللّهِ فَأَذَاقَهَا اللّهُ لِبَاسَ الْجُوعِ وَالْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصْنَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وضرب - And Allah sets forth| الله - And Allah sets forth| مثلا - a similitude| قرية - (of) a town| كانت - (that) was| آمنة - secure| مطمئنة - and content,| يأتيها - coming to it| رزقها - its provision| رغدا - (in) abundance| من - from| كل - every| مكان - place,| فكفرت - but it denied| بأنعم - (the) Favors of Allah,| الله - (the) Favors of Allah,| فأذاقها - so Allah made it taste| الله - so Allah made it taste| لباس - (the) garb| الجوع - (of) the hunger| والخوف - and the fear| بما - for what| كانوا - they used (to)| يصنعون - do.| | ||||||
| 3 [36:78] | Wadaraba lana mathalanwanasiya khalqahu qala man yuhyee alAAithamawahiya rameemun | وضرب لنا مثلا ونسي خلقه قال من يحيي العظام وهي رميم وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِيَ خَلْقَهُ قَالَ مَنْ يُحْيِي الْعِظَامَ وَهِيَ رَمِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وضرب - And he sets forth| لنا - for Us| مثلا - an example| ونسي - and forgets| خلقه - his (own) creation.| قال - He says,| من - "Who| يحيي - will give life| العظام - (to) the bones| وهي - while they| رميم - (are) decomposed?"| | ||||||
| 4 [66:11] | Wadaraba Allahu mathalan lillatheenaamanoo imraata firAAawna ith qalat rabbiibni lee AAindaka baytan fee aljannati wanajjinee min firAAawnawaAAamalihi wanajjinee mina alqawmi alththalimeena | وضرب الله مثلا للذين آمنوا امرأت فرعون إذ قالت رب ابن لي عندك بيتا في الجنة ونجني من فرعون وعمله ونجني من القوم الظالمين وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا امْرَأَتَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ابْنِ لِي عِندَكَ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِي مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِ وَنَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وضرب - And presents| الله - Allah| مثلا - an example| للذين - for those who| آمنوا - believed -| امرأت - (the) wife| فرعون - (of) Firaun,| إذ - when| قالت - she said,| رب - "My Lord!| ابن - Build| لي - for me| عندك - near You| بيتا - a house| في - in| الجنة - Paradise,| ونجني - and save me| من - from| فرعون - Firaun| وعمله - and his deeds| ونجني - and save me| من - from| القوم - the people| الظالمين - the wrongdoers."| | ||||||
