بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [16:76] | Wadaraba Allahu mathalanrajulayni ahaduhuma abkamu la yaqdiru AAalashay-in wahuwa kallun AAala mawlahu aynamayuwajjihhu la ya/ti bikhayrin hal yastawee huwa wamanya/muru bialAAadli wahuwa AAala siratinmustaqeemin
| وضرب الله مثلا رجلين أحدهما أبكم لا يقدر على شيء وهو كل على مولاه أينما يوجهه لا يأت بخير هل يستوي هو ومن يأمر بالعدل وهو على صراط مستقيم وَضَرَبَ اللّهُ مَثَلاً رَّجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَبْكَمُ لاَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ كَلٌّ عَلَى مَوْلاَهُ أَيْنَمَا يُوَجِّههُّ لاَ يَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي هُوَ وَمَن يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَهُوَ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ |
Words | |وضرب - And Allah sets forth| الله - And Allah sets forth| مثلا - an example| رجلين - (of) two men,| أحدهما - one of them| أبكم - (is) dumb,| لا - not| يقدر - he has power| على - on| شيء - anything,| وهو - while he| كل - (is) a burden| على - on| مولاه - his master.| أينما - Wherever| يوجهه - he directs him| لا - not| يأت - he comes| بخير - with any good.| هل - Is| يستوي - equal| هو - he| ومن - and (the one) who| يأمر - commands| بالعدل - [of] justice,| وهو - and he| على - (is) on| صراط - a path| مستقيم - straight?| |

| አላህም ሁለትን ወንዶች (ለከሓዲና ለምእመን) ምሳሌ አደረገ፡፡ አንደኛቸው በምንም ነገር ላይ የማይችል ዲዳ ነው፡፡ እርሱም በጌታው ላይ ሸክም ነው፡፡ ወደ የትም ቢያዞረው በደግ ነገር አይመጣም፡፡ እርሱና ያ እርሱ በቀጥተናው መንገድ ላይ ኾኖ በማስተካከል የሚያዘው ሰው ይስተካከላሉን |
آل الجلالين | { وضرب الله مثلاً } ويبدل منه { رجلين أحدهما أبكم } ولد أخرس { لا يقدر على شيء } لأنه لا يفهم ولا يُفهم { وهو كلّ } ثقيل { على مولاه } وليّ أمره { أينما يوجهه } يصرفه { لا يأت } منه { بخير } ينجح وهذا مثل الكافر { هل يستوي هو } أي الأبكم المذكور { ومن يأمر بالعدل } أي ومن هو ناطق نافع للناس حيث يأمر به ويحث عليه { وهو على صراط } طريق { مستقيم } وهو الثاني المؤمن ؟ لا، وقيل هذا مثل الله، والأبكم للأصنام والذي قبله مثل الكافر والمؤمن . |
| Ifka d Öebbi amedya n sin irgazen. Yiwen d agugam, ur izmir i wacemma. D taâkkwemt i bab is. Anda it iuzen, ur d ippawi lxiô. Day iaâdel akked win ippamôen lêeqq, u neppa deg ubrid uwqim? |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আল্লাহ আরেকটি দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেন, দু’ব্যক্তির, একজন বোবা কোন কাজ করতে পারে না। সে মালিকের উপর বোঝা। যেদিকে তাকে পাঠায়, কোন সঠিক কাজ করে আসে না। সে কি সমান হবে ঐ ব্যক্তির, যে ন্যায় বিচারের আদেশ করে এবং সরল পথে কায়েম রয়েছে। |
Literal | And God gave an example (of) two men, one of them (B) is mute, he is not capable/able on (of) a thing, and he is tired/weak (tiresome/burdensome) on (to) his master/friend/owner wherever he aims/turns him, he does not come/bring with goodness , does he become equal/alike, he and who orders/commands with the justice/equality and he is on a straight/direct/balanced road/way? |
Yusuf Ali | Allah sets forth (another) Parable of two men: one of them dumb, with no power of any sort; a wearisome burden is he to his master; whichever way be directs him, he brings no good: is such a man equal with one who commands Justice, and is on a Straight Way? |
Pickthal | And Allah coineth a similitude: Two men, one of them dumb, having control of nothing, and he is a burden on his owner; whithersoever he directeth him to go, he bringeth no good. Is he equal with one who enjoineth justice and followeth a straight path (of conduct)? |
Arberry | God has struck a similitude: two men, one of them dumb, having no power over anything, and he is a burden upon his master -- wherever he despatches him, he brings no good. Is he equal to him who bids to justice, and is on a straight path? |
Shakir | And Allah sets forth a parable of two men; one of them is dumb, not able to do anything, and he is a burden to his master; wherever he sends him, he brings no good; can he be held equal with him who enjoins what is just, and he (himself) is on the right path? |
Sarwar | God tells a parable about two men. One of them is dumb and useless and a burden on his friend. Wherever he goes, he returns with nothing. Can he be considered equal to the one who maintains justice and follows the right path? |
H/K/Saheeh | And Allah presents an example of two men, one of them dumb and unable to do a thing, while he is a burden to his guardian. Wherever he directs him, he brings no good. Is he equal to one who commands justice, while he is on a straight path? |
Malik | Well! Allah gives you another example of two men: one of them is dumb and has no ability to do anything - a burden on his master whenever he sends him on an errand, he does nothing useful. Can he be equal to the one who executes orders properly and follows the directions in a Right Way?[76] |
Maulana Ali** | And Allah sets forth a parable of two men: One of them dumb, controlling naught, and he is a burden to his master; wherever he sends him, he brings no good. Is he equal with him who enjoins justice, and he is on the right path? |

QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | Allah gives you another example of two men. One of them is he whose faculties of speech and mind are totally disabled. He cannot do anything of his own accord and he is totally dependent on his care-provider, unable to bring forth any good in any way. Can such a one be considered equal of the man who is fit, enjoins justice and himself walks the Straight Path? (Allah expects you to use your faculties to the best of your abilities). |

| Go mimbaal so Allah sa ibarat a dowa mama: So isa kiran na omaw, a da a khagaga niyan a mayto bo; go skaniyan na ikaririkor o khirk on; apiya anda niyan pakasangora skaniyan, na da a khitalingoma niyan a mapiya: Ba makaphagizan skaniyan ago so taw a pzogo ko ontol, a skaniyan na komkdg sa lalan a makaoontol? |
Ahmed Raza Khan | اور اللہ نے کہاوت بیان فرمائی دو مرد ایک گونگا جو کچھ کام نہیں کرسکتا اور وہ اپنے آقا پر بوجھ ہے جدھر بھیجے کچھ بھلائی نہ لائے کیا برابر ہوجائے گا ہ اور وہ جو انصاف کا حکم کرتا ہے اور وہ سیدھی راہ پر ہے، ف۱۶۷) |

Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | اور خدا ایک اور مثال بیان فرماتا ہے کہ دو آدمی ہیں ایک اُن میں سے گونگا (اور دوسرے کی ملک) ہے (بےاختیار وناتوان) کہ کسی چیز پر قدرت نہیں رکھتا۔ اور اپنے مالک کو دوبھر ہو رہا ہے وہ جہاں اُسے بھیجتا ہے (خیر سے کبھی) بھلائی نہیں لاتا۔ کیا ایسا (گونگا بہرا) اور وہ شخص جو (سنتا بولتا اور) لوگوں کو انصاف کرنے کا حکم دیتا ہے اور خود سیدھے راستے پر چل رہا ہے دونوں برابر ہیں؟ |
Mehmood Al Hassan | اور بتائی اللہ نے ایک دوسری مثال دو مرد ہیں ایک گونگا کچھ کام نہیں کر سکتا اور وہ بھاری ہے اپنے صاحب (مالک) پر جس طرف اسکو بھیجے نہ کر کے لائے کچھ بھلائی کہیں برابر ہے وہ اور ایک وہ شخص جو حکم کرتا ہے انصاف سے اور ہے سیدھی راہ پر |
Abul Ala Maududi | اللہ ایک اور مثال دیتا ہے دو آدمی ہیں ایک گونگا بہرا ہے، کوئی کام نہیں کر سکتا، اپنے آقا پر بوجھ بنا ہوا ہے، جدھر بھی وہ اسے بھیجے کوئی بھلا کام اُس سے بن نہ آئے دوسرا شخص ایسا ہے کہ انصاف کا حکم دیتا ہے اور خود راہ راست پر قائم ہے بتاؤ کیا یہ دونوں یکساں ہیں؟ |
Ahmed Ali | اور الله ایک او رمثال دو آدمیوں کی بیان فرماتا ہے ایک ان میں سے گونگا ہے کچھ بھی نہیں کر سکتااور اپنے آقا پر ایک بوجھ ہے جہاں کہیں اسے بھیجے اس سے کوئی خوبی کی بات بن نہ آئے کیا یہ اور وہ برابر ہے جو لوگوں کو انصاف کا حکم دیتا ہے اور وہ خود بھی سیدھے راستے پر قائم ہے |
