| 1 [3:122] | Ith hammat ta-ifataniminkum an tafshala waAllahu waliyyuhumawaAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almu/minoona |  إذ همت طائفتان منكم أن تفشلا والله وليهما وعلى الله فليتوكل المؤمنونإِذْ هَمَّت طَّآئِفَتَانِ مِنكُمْ أَن تَفْشَلاَ وَاللّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| همت - inclined| طائفتان - two parties| منكم - among you| أن - that| تفشلا - they lost heart,| والله - but Allah| وليهما - (was) their protector.| وعلى - And on| الله - Allah| فليتوكل - let put (their) trust| المؤمنون - the believers.| | ||||||
| 2 [12:24] | Walaqad hammat bihi wahamma biha lawlaan raa burhana rabbihi kathalika linasrifaAAanhu alssoo-a waalfahshaa innahumin AAibadina almukhlaseena | ولقد همت به وهم بها لولا أن رأى برهان ربه كذلك لنصرف عنه السوء والفحشاء إنه من عبادنا المخلصين وَلَقَدْ هَمَّتْ بِهِ وَهَمَّ بِهَا لَوْلاَ أَن رَّأَى بُرْهَانَ رَبِّهِ كَذَلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ السُّوءَ وَالْفَحْشَاءَ إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُخْلَصِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| همت - she did desire| به - him,| وهم - and he would have desired| بها - her,| لولا - if not| أن - that| رأى - he saw| برهان - the proof| ربه - (of) his Lord.| كذلك - Thus,| لنصرف - that We might avert| عنه - from him| السوء - the evil| والفحشاء - and the immorality.| إنه - Indeed, he| من - (was) of| عبادنا - Our slaves| المخلصين - the sincere.| | ||||||
