| 1 [4:141] | Allatheena yatarabbasoonabikum fa-in kana lakum fathun mina Allahi qalooalam nakun maAAakum wa-in kana lilkafireena naseebunqaloo alam nastahwith AAalaykum wanamnaAAkummina almu/mineena faAllahu yahkumu baynakumyawma alqiyamati walan yajAAala Allahu lilkafireenaAAala almu/mineena sabeelan |  الذين يتربصون بكم فإن كان لكم فتح من الله قالوا ألم نكن معكم وإن كان للكافرين نصيب قالوا ألم نستحوذ عليكم ونمنعكم من المؤمنين فالله يحكم بينكم يوم القيامة ولن يجعل الله للكافرين على المؤمنين سبيلاالَّذِينَ يَتَرَبَّصُونَ بِكُمْ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ فَتْحٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ قَالُواْ أَلَمْ نَكُن مَّعَكُمْ وَإِن كَانَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ نَصِيبٌ قَالُواْ أَلَمْ نَسْتَحْوِذْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَنَمْنَعْكُم مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَاللّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَن يَجْعَلَ اللّهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| يتربصون - are waiting| بكم - for you.| فإن - Then if| كان - was| لكم - for you| فتح - a victory| من - from| الله - Allah| قالوا - they say,| ألم - "Were not| نكن - we| معكم - with you?"| وإن - But if| كان - (there) was| للكافرين - for the disbelievers| نصيب - a chance| قالوا - they said,| ألم - "Did not| نستحوذ - we have advantage| عليكم - over you| ونمنعكم - and we protected you| من - from| المؤمنين - the believers?"| فالله - And Allah| يحكم - will judge| بينكم - between you| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| ولن - and never| يجعل - will make| الله - Allah| للكافرين - for the disbelievers| على - over| المؤمنين - the believers| سبيلا - a way.| | ||||||
| 2 [9:86] | Wa-itha onzilat sooratun an aminoobiAllahi wajahidoo maAAa rasoolihi ista/thanakaoloo alttawli minhum waqaloo tharnanakun maAAa alqaAAideena | وإذا أنزلت سورة أن آمنوا بالله وجاهدوا مع رسوله استأذنك أولو الطول منهم وقالوا ذرنا نكن مع القاعدين وَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ أَنْ آمِنُواْ بِاللّهِ وَجَاهِدُواْ مَعَ رَسُولِهِ اسْتَأْذَنَكَ أُوْلُواْ الطَّوْلِ مِنْهُمْ وَقَالُواْ ذَرْنَا نَكُن مَّعَ الْقَاعِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| أنزلت - was revealed| سورة - a Surah| أن - that;| آمنوا - believe| بالله - in Allah| وجاهدوا - and strive| مع - with| رسوله - His Messenger,| استأذنك - ask your permission| أولو - (the) men| الطول - (of) wealth| منهم - among them| وقالوا - and said,| ذرنا - "Leave us,| نكن - (to) be| مع - with| القاعدين - those who sit."| | ||||||
| 3 [40:74] | Min dooni Allahi qaloo dallooAAanna bal lam nakun nadAAoo min qablu shay-an kathalikayudillu Allahu alkafireena | من دون الله قالوا ضلوا عنا بل لم نكن ندعو من قبل شيئا كذلك يضل الله الكافرين مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا بَل لَّمْ نَكُن نَّدْعُواْ مِن قَبْلُ شَيْئًا كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |من - Other than| دون - Other than| الله - Allah?"| قالوا - They will say,| ضلوا - "They have departed| عنا - from us.| بل - Nay!| لم - Not| نكن - we used to| ندعو - [we] call| من - before| قبل - before| شيئا - anything."| كذلك - Thus| يضل - Allah lets go astray| الله - Allah lets go astray| الكافرين - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 4 [57:14] | Yunadoonahum alam nakun maAAakum qaloobala walakinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbastumwairtabtum wagharratkumu al-amaniyyu hattajaa amru Allahi wagharrakum biAllahialgharooru | ينادونهم ألم نكن معكم قالوا بلى ولكنكم فتنتم أنفسكم وتربصتم وارتبتم وغرتكم الأماني حتى جاء أمر الله وغركم بالله الغرور يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُن مَّعَكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى وَلَكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنتُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَارْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّى جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ | |||||
| Words | |ينادونهم - They will call them,| ألم - "Were not| نكن - we| معكم - with you?"| قالوا - They will say,| بلى - "Yes,| ولكنكم - but you| فتنتم - led to temptation| أنفسكم - yourselves| وتربصتم - and you awaited| وارتبتم - and you doubted| وغرتكم - and deceived you| الأماني - the wishful thinking| حتى - until| جاء - came| أمر - (the) Command| الله - (of) Allah.| وغركم - And deceived you| بالله - about Allah| الغرور - the deceiver.| | ||||||
