| 1 [4:21] | Wakayfa ta/khuthoonahu waqad afdabaAAdukum ila baAAdin waakhathnaminkum meethaqan ghaleethan |  وكيف تأخذونه وقد أفضى بعضكم إلى بعض وأخذن منكم ميثاقا غليظاوَكَيْفَ تَأْخُذُونَهُ وَقَدْ أَفْضَى بَعْضُكُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ وَأَخَذْنَ مِنكُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا | |||||
| Words | |وكيف - And how| تأخذونه - could you take it| وقد - when surely| أفضى - has gone -| بعضكم - one of you| إلى - to| بعض - another,| وأخذن - and they have taken| منكم - from you| ميثاقا - covenant| غليظا - strong?| | ||||||
| 2 [4:154] | WarafaAAna fawqahumu alttoorabimeethaqihim waqulna lahumu odkhuloo albabasujjadan waqulna lahum la taAAdoo fee alssabtiwaakhathna minhum meethaqan ghaleethan | ورفعنا فوقهم الطور بميثاقهم وقلنا لهم ادخلوا الباب سجدا وقلنا لهم لا تعدوا في السبت وأخذنا منهم ميثاقا غليظا وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ الطُّورَ بِمِيثَاقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ادْخُلُواْ الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لاَ تَعْدُواْ فِي السَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا | |||||
| Words | |ورفعنا - And We raised| فوقهم - over them| الطور - the mount| بميثاقهم - for their covenant,| وقلنا - and We said| لهم - to them,| ادخلوا - "Enter| الباب - the gate,| سجدا - prostrating."| وقلنا - And We said| لهم - to them.| لا - "(Do) not| تعدوا - transgress| في - in| السبت - the Sabbath."| وأخذنا - And We took| منهم - from them| ميثاقا - a covenant| غليظا - solemn.| | ||||||
| 3 [33:7] | Wa-ith akhathna mina alnnabiyyeenameethaqahum waminka wamin noohin wa-ibraheemawamoosa waAAeesa ibni maryama waakhathnaminhum meethaqan ghaleethan | وإذ أخذنا من النبيين ميثاقهم ومنك ومن نوح وإبراهيم وموسى وعيسى ابن مريم وأخذنا منهم ميثاقا غليظا وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ وَمِنكَ وَمِن نُّوحٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذنا - We took| من - from| النبيين - the Prophets| ميثاقهم - their Covenant| ومنك - and from you| ومن - and from| نوح - Nuh| وإبراهيم - and Ibrahim| وموسى - and Musa| وعيسى - and Isa,| ابن - son| مريم - (of) Maryam.| وأخذنا - And We took| منهم - from them| ميثاقا - a covenant| غليظا - strong| | ||||||
