| 1 [7:136] | Faintaqamna minhum faaghraqnahumfee alyammi bi-annahum kaththaboo bi-ayatinawakanoo AAanha ghafileena |  فانتقمنا منهم فأغرقناهم في اليم بأنهم كذبوا بآياتنا وكانوا عنها غافلينفَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا غَافِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فانتقمنا - So We took retribution| منهم - from them| فأغرقناهم - and We drowned them| في - in| اليم - the sea| بأنهم - because they| كذبوا - denied| بآياتنا - Our Signs,| وكانوا - and they were| عنها - to them| غافلين - heedless.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:146] | Saasrifu AAan ayatiyaallatheena yatakabbaroona fee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqiwa-in yaraw kulla ayatin la yu/minoo bihawa-in yaraw sabeela alrrushdi la yattakhithoohusabeelan wa-in yaraw sabeela alghayyi yattakhithoohusabeelan thalika bi-annahum kaththaboo bi-ayatinawakanoo AAanha ghafileena | سأصرف عن آياتي الذين يتكبرون في الأرض بغير الحق وإن يروا كل آية لا يؤمنوا بها وإن يروا سبيل الرشد لا يتخذوه سبيلا وإن يروا سبيل الغي يتخذوه سبيلا ذلك بأنهم كذبوا بآياتنا وكانوا عنها غافلين سَأَصْرِفُ عَنْ آيَاتِيَ الَّذِينَ يَتَكَبَّرُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَإِن يَرَوْاْ كُلَّ آيَةٍ لاَّ يُؤْمِنُواْ بِهَا وَإِن يَرَوْاْ سَبِيلَ الرُّشْدِ لاَ يَتَّخِذُوهُ سَبِيلاً وَإِن يَرَوْاْ سَبِيلَ الْغَيِّ يَتَّخِذُوهُ سَبِيلاً ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا غَافِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |سأصرف - I will turn away| عن - from| آياتي - My Signs| الذين - those who| يتكبرون - are arrogant| في - in| الأرض - the earth| بغير - without| الحق - [the] right;| وإن - and if| يروا - they see| كل - every| آية - sign,| لا - not| يؤمنوا - (will) they believe| بها - in it.| وإن - And if| يروا - they see| سبيل - (the) way| الرشد - (of) the righteousness,| لا - not| يتخذوه - (will) they take it| سبيلا - (as) a way,| وإن - but if| يروا - they see| سبيل - (the) way| الغي - (of) [the] error,| يتخذوه - they will take it| سبيلا - (as) a way.| ذلك - That| بأنهم - (is) because they| كذبوا - denied| بآياتنا - Our Signs| وكانوا - and they were| عنها - of them| غافلين - heedless.| | ||||||
| 3 [7:172] | Wa-ith akhatha rabbuka minbanee adama min thuhoorihim thurriyyatahumwaashhadahum AAala anfusihim alastu birabbikum qaloobala shahidna an taqooloo yawma alqiyamatiinna kunna AAan hatha ghafileena | وإذ أخذ ربك من بني آدم من ظهورهم ذريتهم وأشهدهم على أنفسهم ألست بربكم قالوا بلى شهدنا أن تقولوا يوم القيامة إنا كنا عن هذا غافلين وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِن بَنِي آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُواْ بَلَى شَهِدْنَا أَن تَقُولُواْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَذَا غَافِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذ - (was) taken| ربك - (by) your Lord| من - from| بني - (the) Children| آدم - (of) Adam -| من - from| ظهورهم - their loins -| ذريتهم - their descendants| وأشهدهم - and made them testify| على - over| أنفسهم - themselves,| ألست - "Am I not| بربكم - your Lord?"| قالوا - They said,| بلى - "Yes| شهدنا - we have testified."| أن - Lest| تقولوا - you say| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| إنا - "Indeed,| كنا - we were| عن - about| هذا - this| غافلين - unaware."| | ||||||
| 4 [23:17] | Walaqad khalaqna fawqakum sabAAa tara-iqawama kunna AAani alkhalqi ghafileena | ولقد خلقنا فوقكم سبع طرائق وما كنا عن الخلق غافلين وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed,| خلقنا - We (have) created| فوقكم - above you| سبع - seven| طرائق - paths| وما - and not| كنا - We are| عن - of| الخلق - the creation| غافلين - unaware.| | ||||||
