| 1 [17:4] | Waqadayna ila banee isra-eelafee alkitabi latufsidunna fee al-ardi marratayniwalataAAlunna AAuluwwan kabeeran |  وقضينا إلى بني إسرائيل في الكتاب لتفسدن في الأرض مرتين ولتعلن علوا كبيراوَقَضَيْنَا إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الْكِتَابِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وقضينا - And We decreed| إلى - for| بني - (the) Children| إسرائيل - (of) Israel| في - in| الكتاب - the Book,| لتفسدن - "Surely you will cause corruption| في - in| الأرض - the earth| مرتين - twice,| ولتعلن - and surely you will reach,| علوا - haughtiness| كبيرا - great."| | ||||||
| 2 [17:7] | In ahsantum ahsantumli-anfusikum wa-in asa/tum falaha fa-itha jaawaAAdu al-akhirati liyasoo-oo wujoohakum waliyadkhulooalmasjida kama dakhaloohu awwala marratin waliyutabbiroo maAAalaw tatbeeran | إن أحسنتم أحسنتم لأنفسكم وإن أسأتم فلها فإذا جاء وعد الآخرة ليسوءوا وجوهكم وليدخلوا المسجد كما دخلوه أول مرة وليتبروا ما علوا تتبيرا إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الْآخِرَةِ لِيَسُوؤُواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُواْ الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ مَا عَلَوْاْ تَتْبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |إن - If| أحسنتم - you do good,| أحسنتم - you do good| لأنفسكم - for yourselves;| وإن - and if| أسأتم - you do evil,| فلها - then it is for it.| فإذا - So when| جاء - came| وعد - promise| الآخرة - the last,| ليسوءوا - to sadden| وجوهكم - your faces| وليدخلوا - and to enter| المسجد - the Masjid| كما - just as| دخلوه - they (had) entered it| أول - first| مرة - time,| وليتبروا - and to destroy| ما - what| علوا - they had conquered| تتبيرا - (with) destruction.| | ||||||
| 3 [17:43] | Subhanahu wataAAalaAAamma yaqooloona AAuluwwan kabeeran | سبحانه وتعالى عما يقولون علوا كبيرا سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |سبحانه - Glorified is He| وتعالى - and Exalted is He| عما - above what| يقولون - they say| علوا - (by) height| كبيرا - great.| | ||||||
| 4 [28:83] | Tilka alddaru al-akhiratunajAAaluha lillatheena la yureedoonaAAuluwwan fee al-ardi wala fasadan waalAAaqibatulilmuttaqeena | تلك الدار الآخرة نجعلها للذين لا يريدون علوا في الأرض ولا فسادا والعاقبة للمتقين تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فَسَادًا وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |تلك - That| الدار - the Home| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter| نجعلها - We assign it| للذين - to those who| لا - (do) not| يريدون - desire| علوا - exaltedness| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ولا - and not| فسادا - corruption.| والعاقبة - And the good end| للمتقين - (is) for the righteous.| | ||||||
