| 1 [4:155] | Fabima naqdihim meethaqahumwakufrihim bi-ayati Allahi waqatlihimual-anbiyaa bighayri haqqin waqawlihim quloobunaghulfun bal tabaAAa Allahu AAalayhabikufrihim fala yu/minoona illa qaleelan |  فبما نقضهم ميثاقهم وكفرهم بآيات الله وقتلهم الأنبياء بغير حق وقولهم قلوبنا غلف بل طبع الله عليها بكفرهم فلا يؤمنون إلا قليلافَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِم بَآيَاتِ اللّهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌ بَلْ طَبَعَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |فبما - Then because of| نقضهم - their breaking| ميثاقهم - (of) their covenant| وكفرهم - and their disbelief| بآيات - in (the) Signs| الله - (of) Allah| وقتلهم - and their killing| الأنبياء - (of) the Prophets| بغير - without| حق - any right| وقولهم - and their saying,| قلوبنا - "Our hearts| غلف - (are) wrapped."| بل - Nay,| طبع - (has) set a seal| الله - Allah| عليها - on their (hearts)| بكفرهم - for their disbelief| فلا - so not| يؤمنون - they believe| إلا - except| قليلا - a few.| | ||||||
| 2 [16:108] | Ola-ika allatheena tabaAAaAllahu AAala quloobihim wasamAAihim waabsarihimwaola-ika humu alghafiloona | أولئك الذين طبع الله على قلوبهم وسمعهم وأبصارهم وأولئك هم الغافلون أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ وَأُولَـئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولئك - Those| الذين - (are) the ones -| طبع - Allah has set a seal| الله - Allah has set a seal| على - over| قلوبهم - their hearts| وسمعهم - and their hearing| وأبصارهم - and their sight.| وأولئك - And those -| هم - they are| الغافلون - the heedless.| | ||||||
| 3 [47:16] | Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka hattaitha kharajoo min AAindika qaloo lillatheenaootoo alAAilma matha qala anifan ola-ikaallatheena tabaAAa Allahu AAalaquloobihim waittabaAAoo ahwaahum | ومنهم من يستمع إليك حتى إذا خرجوا من عندك قالوا للذين أوتوا العلم ماذا قال آنفا أولئك الذين طبع الله على قلوبهم واتبعوا أهواءهم وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّى إِذَا خَرَجُوا مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ آنِفًا أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ | |||||
| Words | |ومنهم - And among them| من - (are some) who| يستمع - listen| إليك - to you,| حتى - until| إذا - when| خرجوا - they depart| من - from| عندك - you,| قالوا - they say| للذين - to those who| أوتوا - were given| العلم - the knowledge,| ماذا - "What| قال - (has) he said| آنفا - just now?"| أولئك - Those -| الذين - (are) the ones| طبع - Allah has set a seal| الله - Allah has set a seal| على - upon| قلوبهم - their hearts| واتبعوا - and they follow| أهواءهم - their desires.| | ||||||
