| 1 [5:83] | Wa-itha samiAAoo ma onzila ilaalrrasooli tara aAAyunahum tafeedu mina alddamAAimimma AAarafoo mina alhaqqi yaqooloona rabbanaamanna faoktubna maAAa alshshahideena |  وإذا سمعوا ما أنزل إلى الرسول ترى أعينهم تفيض من الدمع مما عرفوا من الحق يقولون ربنا آمنا فاكتبنا مع الشاهدينوَإِذَا سَمِعُواْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرَى أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُواْ مِنَ الْحَقِّ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| سمعوا - they listen| ما - (to) what| أنزل - has been revealed| إلى - to| الرسول - the Messenger,| ترى - you see| أعينهم - their eyes| تفيض - overflowing| من - with| الدمع - the tears,| مما - for what| عرفوا - they recognized| من - of| الحق - the truth.| يقولون - They say,| ربنا - "Our Lord,| آمنا - we have believed| فاكتبنا - so write us| مع - with| الشاهدين - the witnesses.| | ||||||
| 2 [25:12] | Itha raat-hum min makaninbaAAeedin samiAAoo laha taghayyuthanwazafeeran | إذا رأتهم من مكان بعيد سمعوا لها تغيظا وزفيرا إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |إذا - When| رأتهم - it sees them| من - from| مكان - a place| بعيد - far,| سمعوا - they will hear| لها - its| تغيظا - raging| وزفيرا - and roaring.| | ||||||
| 3 [28:55] | Wa-itha samiAAoo allaghwa aAAradooAAanhu waqaloo lana aAAmaluna walakumaAAmalukum salamun AAalaykum la nabtagheealjahileena | وإذا سمعوا اللغو أعرضوا عنه وقالوا لنا أعمالنا ولكم أعمالكم سلام عليكم لا نبتغي الجاهلين وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا اللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا نَبْتَغِي الْجَاهِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| سمعوا - they hear| اللغو - vain talk,| أعرضوا - they turn away| عنه - from it| وقالوا - and say,| لنا - "For us| أعمالنا - our deeds| ولكم - and for you| أعمالكم - your deeds.| سلام - Peace (be)| عليكم - on you;| لا - not| نبتغي - we seek| الجاهلين - the ignorant."| | ||||||
| 4 [35:14] | In tadAAoohum la yasmaAAoo duAAaakumwalaw samiAAoo ma istajaboo lakum wayawma alqiyamatiyakfuroona bishirkikum wala yunabbi-oka mithlu khabeerin | إن تدعوهم لا يسمعوا دعاءكم ولو سمعوا ما استجابوا لكم ويوم القيامة يكفرون بشرككم ولا ينبئك مثل خبير إِن تَدْعُوهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُوا دُعَاءَكُمْ وَلَوْ سَمِعُوا مَا اسْتَجَابُوا لَكُمْ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكْفُرُونَ بِشِرْكِكُمْ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيرٍ | |||||
| Words | |إن - If| تدعوهم - you invoke them| لا - not| يسمعوا - they hear| دعاءكم - your call;| ولو - and if| سمعوا - they heard,| ما - not| استجابوا - they (would) respond| لكم - to you.| ويوم - And (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection| يكفرون - they will deny| بشرككم - your association.| ولا - And none| ينبئك - can inform you| مثل - like| خبير - (the) All-Aware.| | ||||||
| 5 [67:7] | Itha olqoo feeha samiAAoo lahashaheeqan wahiya tafooru | إذا ألقوا فيها سمعوا لها شهيقا وهي تفور إِذَا أُلْقُوا فِيهَا سَمِعُوا لَهَا شَهِيقًا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ | |||||
| Words | |إذا - When| ألقوا - they are thrown| فيها - therein,| سمعوا - they will hear| لها - from it| شهيقا - an inhaling| وهي - while it| تفور - boils up.| | ||||||
| 6 [68:51] | Wa-in yakadu allatheenakafaroo layuzliqoonaka bi-absarihim lamma samiAAooalththikra wayaqooloona innahu lamajnoonun | وإن يكاد الذين كفروا ليزلقونك بأبصارهم لما سمعوا الذكر ويقولون إنه لمجنون وَإِن يَكَادُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| يكاد - would almost| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| ليزلقونك - surely make you slip| بأبصارهم - with their look| لما - when| سمعوا - they hear| الذكر - the Message,| ويقولون - and they say,| إنه - "Indeed, he| لمجنون - (is) surely mad."| | ||||||
