| 1 [2:7] | Khatama Allahu AAala quloobihimwaAAala samAAihim waAAala absarihim ghishawatunwalahum AAathabun AAatheemun |  ختم الله على قلوبهم وعلى سمعهم وعلى أبصارهم غشاوة ولهم عذاب عظيمخَتَمَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهمْ وَعَلَى سَمْعِهِمْ وَعَلَى أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ وَّلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ختم - Has set a seal| الله - Allah| على - on| قلوبهم - their hearts| وعلى - and on| سمعهم - their hearing,| وعلى - and on| أبصارهم - their vision| غشاوة - (is) a veil.| ولهم - And for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| عظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 2 [41:20] | Hatta itha ma jaoohashahida AAalayhim samAAuhum waabsaruhum wajulooduhum bimakanoo yaAAmaloona | حتى إذا ما جاءوها شهد عليهم سمعهم وأبصارهم وجلودهم بما كانوا يعملون حَتَّى إِذَا مَا جَاؤُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَأَبْصَارُهُمْ وَجُلُودُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until,| إذا - when| ما - when| جاءوها - they come to it| شهد - (will) testify| عليهم - against them| سمعهم - their hearing,| وأبصارهم - and their sight,| وجلودهم - and their skins,| بما - (as) to what| كانوا - they used to| يعملون - do.| | ||||||
| 3 [46:26] | Walaqad makkannahum feema inmakkannakum feehi wajaAAalna lahum samAAan waabsaranwaaf-idatan fama aghna AAanhum samAAuhum walaabsaruhum wala af-idatuhum min shay-in ith kanooyajhadoona bi-ayati Allahi wahaqabihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona | ولقد مكناهم فيما إن مكناكم فيه وجعلنا لهم سمعا وأبصارا وأفئدة فما أغنى عنهم سمعهم ولا أبصارهم ولا أفئدتهم من شيء إذ كانوا يجحدون بآيات الله وحاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِيمَا إِن مَّكَّنَّاكُمْ فِيهِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ سَمْعًا وَأَبْصَارًا وَأَفْئِدَةً فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُهُمْ وَلَا أَفْئِدَتُهُم مِّن شَيْءٍ إِذْ كَانُوا يَجْحَدُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly,| مكناهم - We had established them| فيما - in what| إن - not| مكناكم - We have established you| فيه - in it,| وجعلنا - and We made| لهم - for them| سمعا - hearing| وأبصارا - and vision| وأفئدة - and hearts.| فما - But not| أغنى - availed| عنهم - them| سمعهم - their hearing| ولا - and not| أبصارهم - their vision| ولا - and not| أفئدتهم - their hearts| من - any| شيء - thing,| إذ - when| كانوا - they were| يجحدون - rejecting| بآيات - (the) Signs| الله - (of) Allah| وحاق - and enveloped| بهم - them| ما - what| كانوا - they used to| به - [at it]| يستهزئون - ridicule.| | ||||||
