| 1 [11:59] | Watilka AAadun jahadoo bi-ayatirabbihim waAAasaw rusulahu waittabaAAoo amra kullijabbarin AAaneedin |  وتلك عاد جحدوا بآيات ربهم وعصوا رسله واتبعوا أمر كل جبار عنيدوَتِلْكَ عَادٌ جَحَدُواْ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَصَوْاْ رُسُلَهُ وَاتَّبَعُواْ أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ | |||||
| Words | |وتلك - And this| عاد - (was) Aad,| جحدوا - they rejected| بآيات - (the) Signs| ربهم - (of) their Lord| وعصوا - and disobeyed| رسله - His Messengers| واتبعوا - and followed| أمر - (the) command| كل - (of) every| جبار - tyrant| عنيد - obstinate.| | ||||||
| 2 [14:15] | Waistaftahoo wakhabakullu jabbarin AAaneedin | واستفتحوا وخاب كل جبار عنيد وَاسْتَفْتَحُواْ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ | |||||
| Words | |واستفتحوا - And they sought victory| وخاب - and disappointed| كل - every| جبار - tyrant| عنيد - obstinate.| | ||||||
| 3 [40:35] | Allatheena yujadiloona fee ayatiAllahi bighayri sultanin atahum kaburamaqtan AAinda Allahi waAAinda allatheena amanookathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala kulliqalbi mutakabbirin jabbarin | الذين يجادلون في آيات الله بغير سلطان أتاهم كبر مقتا عند الله وعند الذين آمنوا كذلك يطبع الله على كل قلب متكبر جبار الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ اللَّهِ وَعِندَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كَذَلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ قَلْبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍ جَبَّارٍ | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| يجادلون - dispute| في - concerning| آيات - (the) Signs| الله - (of) Allah| بغير - without| سلطان - any authority| أتاهم - (having) come to them,| كبر - (it) is greatly| مقتا - hateful| عند - near Allah| الله - near Allah| وعند - and near| الذين - those| آمنوا - who believe.| كذلك - Thus| يطبع - Allah sets a seal| الله - Allah sets a seal| على - over| كل - every| قلب - heart| متكبر - (of) an arrogant| جبار - tyrant."| | ||||||
