| 1 [5:19] | Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakumrasooluna yubayyinu lakum AAala fatratin mina alrrusulian taqooloo ma jaana min basheerin walanatheerin faqad jaakum basheerun wanatheerunwaAllahu AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun |  يا أهل الكتاب قد جاءكم رسولنا يبين لكم على فترة من الرسل أن تقولوا ما جاءنا من بشير ولا نذير فقد جاءكم بشير ونذير والله على كل شيء قديريَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَى فَتْرَةٍ مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُواْ مَا جَاءَنَا مِن بَشِيرٍ وَلاَ نَذِيرٍ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بَشِيرٌ وَنَذِيرٌ وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أهل - O People| الكتاب - (of) the Book!| قد - Surely| جاءكم - has come to you| رسولنا - Our Messenger,| يبين - he makes clear| لكم - to you| على - [on]| فترة - (after) an interval (of cessation)| من - of| الرسل - the Messengers,| أن - lest| تقولوا - you say| ما - "Not| جاءنا - (has) come to us| من - any| بشير - bearer of glad tidings| ولا - and not| نذير - a warner."| فقد - But surely| جاءكم - has come to you| بشير - a bearer of glad tidings| ونذير - and a warner.| والله - And Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 2 [5:84] | Wama lana la nu/minu biAllahiwama jaana mina alhaqqi wanatmaAAuan yudkhilana rabbuna maAAa alqawmi alssaliheena | وما لنا لا نؤمن بالله وما جاءنا من الحق ونطمع أن يدخلنا ربنا مع القوم الصالحين وَمَا لَنَا لاَ نُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَمَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And what| لنا - for us (that)| لا - not| نؤمن - we believe| بالله - in Allah| وما - and what| جاءنا - came (to) us| من - from| الحق - the truth?| ونطمع - And we hope| أن - that| يدخلنا - will admit us| ربنا - our Lord| مع - with| القوم - the people,| الصالحين - the righteous."| | ||||||
| 3 [20:72] | Qaloo lan nu/thiraka AAala majaana mina albayyinati waallatheefatarana faiqdi ma anta qadininnama taqdee hathihi alhayataalddunya | قالوا لن نؤثرك على ما جاءنا من البينات والذي فطرنا فاقض ما أنت قاض إنما تقضي هذه الحياة الدنيا قَالُوا لَن نُّؤْثِرَكَ عَلَى مَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالَّذِي فَطَرَنَا فَاقْضِ مَا أَنتَ قَاضٍ إِنَّمَا تَقْضِي هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| لن - "Never| نؤثرك - we will prefer you| على - over| ما - what| جاءنا - has come to us| من - of| البينات - the clear proofs,| والذي - and the One Who| فطرنا - created us.| فاقض - So decree| ما - whatever| أنت - you| قاض - (are) decreeing.| إنما - Only| تقضي - you can decree| هذه - (for) this| الحياة - life| الدنيا - (of) the world.| | ||||||
| 4 [40:29] | Ya qawmi lakumu almulku alyawma thahireenafee al-ardi faman yansuruna min ba/si Allahiin jaana qala firAAawnu ma oreekumilla ma ara wama ahdeekum illasabeela alrrashadi | يا قوم لكم الملك اليوم ظاهرين في الأرض فمن ينصرنا من بأس الله إن جاءنا قال فرعون ما أريكم إلا ما أرى وما أهديكم إلا سبيل الرشاد يَا قَوْمِ لَكُمُ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ ظَاهِرِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَن يَنصُرُنَا مِن بَأْسِ اللَّهِ إِنْ جَاءَنَا قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ مَا أُرِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَا أَرَى وَمَا أَهْدِيكُمْ إِلَّا سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| قوم - O my people!| لكم - For you| الملك - (is) the kingdom| اليوم - today,| ظاهرين - dominant| في - in| الأرض - the land,| فمن - but who| ينصرنا - will help us| من - from| بأس - (the) punishment| الله - (of) Allah,| إن - if| جاءنا - it came to us."| قال - Said| فرعون - Firaun,| ما - "Not| أريكم - I show you| إلا - except| ما - what| أرى - I see| وما - and not| أهديكم - I guide you| إلا - except| سبيل - (to the) path| الرشاد - the right."| | ||||||
| 5 [43:38] | Hatta itha jaanaqala ya layta baynee wabaynaka buAAda almashriqaynifabi/sa alqareenu | حتى إذا جاءنا قال يا ليت بيني وبينك بعد المشرقين فبئس القرين حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until| إذا - when| جاءنا - he comes to Us| قال - he says,| يا - O| ليت - "O would that| بيني - between me| وبينك - and between you| بعد - (were the) distance| المشرقين - (of) the East and the West."| فبئس - How wretched is| القرين - the companion!| | ||||||
| 6 [67:9] | Qaloo bala qad jaananatheerun fakaththabna waqulna manazzala Allahu min shay-in in antum illa fee dalalinkabeerin | قالوا بلى قد جاءنا نذير فكذبنا وقلنا ما نزل الله من شيء إن أنتم إلا في ضلال كبير قَالُوا بَلَى قَدْ جَاءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ كَبِيرٍ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They will say| بلى - "Yes,| قد - indeed| جاءنا - came to us| نذير - a warner,| فكذبنا - but we denied| وقلنا - and we said,| ما - "Not| نزل - has sent down| الله - Allah| من - any| شيء - thing.| إن - Not| أنتم - you (are)| إلا - but| في - in| ضلال - error| كبير - great."| | ||||||
